Are You Disappointed That This Site Offered No New Methods?

I foolishly convinced myself upon discovering this site that this was it - finally the universe answered one of my prayers!

However, after reading all the methods I realised there was nothing knew here that I hadn't already discovered.

I was surprised by the amount of like minded people.

You already knew about the sn method ? Is very specific and not Main stream and cliche like hanging , jumping or boom stick.

You can't possibly have read all the methods that are discussed somewhere or other on this site. Thee are nearly 3 million posts here.
Have you ever considered drowning in a butt of Malmsey, like the Duke of Clarence did in the 15th century? I thought not. (Though it's unclear whether that was suicide, murder or just an accident.)
There are other, slightly more practical methods that are rarely discussed. None of them is particularly easy to organise, and I don't want to open up that subject. But if you use you brain, or just read widely here, you will find some of them.

I understand, it's so cruel and terrible to me how we exist in this horrific reality where the option to cease existing peacefully is so cruelly denied with the suffering and torture of human existence seen as to force and prolong no matter what, all I wish for is to never suffer ever again, I'd just always prefer to not exist than suffer in this torturous existence I personally always saw as the most terrible mistake, all I hope for is the peace of an eternal dreamless sleep where all is finally gone and forgotten.

extremely disappointed that i haven't found any method other than hanging which i already know about
i would want to have access to a readily available method of suicide that is peaceful but this place doesn't fulfill that need at all
i would of left years ago if there was full proof method that didn't come with the risk of welfare checks
the fact you can't even order SN without receiving a welfare check in the uk is a enough to discourage anyone from attempting to even get the substance in question

I'm disappointed there aren't any foolproof and more easily available methods, I never wanted to go with SN so on that regard this site hasn't been useful, but I understand they only list methods that are very sure and they wouldn't post stuff such as jumping spots.
Still I really love the climate of the site, it brings about a part of me I like

I dunno man, there are only that many ways to die in a somewhat comfortable and quick way.

People occasionally come in with quite crazy methods here but they usually sound impractical if not impossible and not really all that safe. Often these people are apparently in quite a bit of mental distress (if they're just not simply trolling that is) so I'm not blaming them but it is how it is.

It isn't like you can get funding or assemble a team of scientists That's why most methods are makeshift, homemade/rudimentary. the lack of available resources is a consequence of the nature of the endeavor itself.

Well, a simple rope can do the job without any chemicals or other strange things. It's been used for centuries, and it works. It doesn't take rocket science or materials. Just find a tree or high place and that's it.

I doubt that anyone will ever be able to create something similar to assisted suicide at home. Peaceful and painless..

Death is hard and ugly and painful and humans are annoyingly resilient. People want a method that is easy, fast, and painless but they generally do not exist. The options are therefore limited. I am not surprised this site does not have some revolutionary finding as most people do not want to carry through with the majority of activities that would assure death.

No, the ones we have are the safest, so to speak, and reliable, even though there's a risk of failure. That's why we talk and discuss it here, to be as safe as possible in case of failure. If a new one were to come out, it would still require research and approval time to guarantee its safety. Also, since this useless pro-life society is taking more and more things away from us, it would be difficult, to be honest, but hopefully something new will be a miracle.

Before I joined I knew about full suspension hanging, overdosing, guns, drowning, cutting.

Learned about partial suspension from this site. SN, shallow water blackout, nitrogen, argon, helium, nembutal, sodium azide, CO, so forth. It's taught me about many new methods, but also that a peaceful and quick death is out of reach for almost anyone. Unless you can get nembutal or everything needed to put in place SN protocol with all the bells and whistles of antiemetics, benzos, etc, it's pretty much off the table.

The specifics of the methods might vary to the point of nonsensical, however drowning is still drowning, etc., etc.

Why do you say there is no easy, fast and painless method? It is only a lack of desire to analyze it that leads us to say it is inaccurate, but it exists as there are many others. And they are also perfectly legal. I have already proposed the Steamroller. It is a method that works, is legal and easy to find and death is instantaneous without the slightest pain. It is also infallible, but it was snubbed when I opened a dedicated thread. I had the opportunity to try it with a cow skull and it completely destroyed it in less than a second. The cow skull is one of the most powerful, much more than the human skull.

1 You need to find a steamroller. This is not something the average person has laying around. You say finding one is easy, I very much disagree with you.
2 Someone willing to operate it and kill you or a way to rig it yourself which then you are getting into complications aimialr to other methods.
3 Space to run a steamroller safely. I live in an apartment in a big city. Where am I aulpoaes to do this?
4 I have my doubts with SI. This method gives you a lot of time to sit and think before your skull is crushed, which has a high risk of you backing out.

If you have already worked out the logistics with it and think that it will work for you then great, but obviously a lot of people see flaws in it.

EDIT: I want to clarify a bit and say that people on this site are looking for methods that are accessible to them, and that are tested and known. Your method might work for you, and that's great. However, it is not something that could be widely applicable to a large number of people, and also, no one has documentation on how to specifically execute this method and how reliable it is for a quick and painless death. This may turn out to be a fantastic method, but at the end of the day people here want something that's tried and true.
