• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

"life" isn't immortal however the atoms you consist of are immortal, maybe not totally immortal but probably the quantum fields that are responsible for the existence of atoms and everything else that consists of atoms are "immortal".

If you don't wanna die, then suicide is probably not the right choice atm.

Hopefully there will never be. I think death is outright the best thing in this world, and the tragedy is that people in positions of power manage long life expectancy that, in my opinion, no one should be entitled to precisely for this reason: no one should hold such power over others, and thus if only death can be guaranteed to end dictatorship (whether it ends the dictator or the subject who can't overthrow this dictator), that it would be better for death to happen sooner than later.

Don't want to imagine world where life can be as little as extended already but you still can die from starvation or murder, and must negotiate your survival by slaving to someone.

I remember when I was younger, I desired nothing more than to be immortal. I'd see characters like The Doctor, Kratos, even Dracula and wish nothing more for immortality, even if it meant seeing my loved ones pass, forming relationships with new people only to watch them pass as well, accepting the curse of eternal life was compelling. As though there was some wicked pleasure in it despite the despair, that any despair would only be temporary and could be gotten over with enough time. But as I've grown, I've come to realize how much of a curse it is, how deep the despair can run and how the desire to die can quickly overpower all else. I think some modicum of my thinking that's not quite ready to accept death still clings onto that false hope of eternal life, but I've gradually come to believe that the guaranteed end we are provided by being mortal beings, whether it is on our own terms or by accident, is bliss itself.
