I have never understood people pretending to be feeling grief for someone they don't even know. I can understand slightly with national figures though.

When I found out Prince Phillip died, I cried. Not because I was sad for him or his family and loved ones, but because I was jealous. He's finally passed, he knows what happens after death and he is at peace now. I so badly wished it could've been me.

Being part of the royal family come across as being in a prison, A wealthy one but at what cost. , DOE Phillip was patron to 600-700 charities and in his 70 year duty appeared in over 22000 single person functions.

As for feeling grief its more to do with alot of people have grown up with him around, either on TV and in public apprearances, people who actually sit down and think rather than use cesspit twitter to guide them realise what the guy sacrificed to basically stay one step behind his Mrs for over 70 years. Along with that he actually fought full on genuine badge holding Nazis in the war.

Well as a Scottish person (who hates monarchs) I felt nothing. People should focus their attentions on more noble causes (like supporting dignity with dying charities) than worry about old royals dying. The whole rotten Royal establishment should be abolished anyway. We cut their heads off years ago haha.
