• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

ive been referred to them and idk why. I mean I do yeah ive said a couple things that I can understand would get me referred (they mentioned me saying I felt bugs on my skin was a reason for the referral), but I guess im just confused. maybe im taking it too literally but I dont feel like I have anything going on that they could 'intervene' in if that makes sense. like I dont feel like I have anything going right now. but anyway. does anyone have experience with this team? how was it, what do they actually do? right now im just waiting for an assessment from them so they can see if they can take me on or send me back to the community mental health team, so im just wondering. if anyone has any experience with them theyd like to share pls do bc idk what to expect

It depends on what you are looking for want.....also depends who you have in your 'care'.

I have experience with EIP teams and if I could go back in time I would run a mile.....but my experience will be different to others...and it's just my opinion.

If you are UK and looking for NHS intervention the EIP teams have more resources than standard secondary care teams which is a plus so you will actually see someone.

Negative (depending on opinion) is how much you to be stuck on medication that turn you into an unfunctional zombie that you then can't get off.

My advice would be...be careful with what you say. They don't seem to have much capacity to deal with thoughts they 'perceive' as psychotic (even if they are or not), therefore tend to hospitalise people. That might be what some people want....but if it's not id just be careful....
