Anyone has any experience with Psychiatric dogs? not emotional support

Different from Emotional support, PSD's are considered service animals so I could save on all extra fees.

Wondering if anyone has any experience getting one and whether it's helped

I am not sure there is an official "psychiatric dog" category.If you are not sure that you would like to have a dog, you can get one from a shelter and if it doesn't work out, you can bring him back.

What do you need it for?

I've looked into service dogs for diabetics in my own country, where it's a long and expensive training process for both the dog and the owner, to get one.
I expect whatever you have in mind would be similar.

Unless you really need a specially trained dog, a normal dog is more appropriate.
