  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Hello, first post. I'm from the UK, South East London.
I failed several attempts at partial hanging back in February and ended up in a psych ward for a few days. Was very scary to see how easy it was to become institutionalised and lose my own agency. I had to lie and beg to get out of there. UK is very troubling I still want to ctb but it's so difficult here, just holding on in there for a few family and my dogs. I'm in constant pain and distress due to chronic illness.

Yep. UK and disabled here. Had my disability benefits wrongfully stopped at last assessment, now absolutely penniless, in debt, and slowly starving to death. It's amazing how the UK won't let us have a painless assisted suicide, but it's fine for the government/DWP to slowly and painfully kill the most vulnerable through malnutrition.

Yes, citizens advice are helping me with it. But that doesn't feed me in the meantime, and food banks are shit and difficult and time consuming to access.

I'm so sorry. I live in fear of this happening - also disabled (ME/CFS) and completely reliant on PIP and universal credit. The government don't seem to realise it's a matter of life and death for many people. Hopefully it will improve now the tories are out; I know the new government have promised to fix this but who knows. I hope you're managing.

Oh, they know it's life and death, they just don't care. And try getting an NHS dentist nowadays! I have awful tooth pain, 111 said the nearest NHS dentist I can go to is many cities away, I'm disabled and can't drive and have literally no money for the bus or train, how am I meant to get there? I'm "managing" in the sense that I'm still alive, but so hungry and in constant pain.
