Help Any significant advantages of the 48-hour regimen over the stat dose?

Just curious. I've read that the 48-hour regimen prepares your stomach better but Stan's guide says there aren't actually any significant advantages over the simple stat dose, so if anyone has any other info I'm interested in hearing it.
