Any other methods to make SI less affective excluding ALCOHOL

Basically the title, I've been trying to hang myself but SI makes me afraid to even wrap the noose around my neck. I don't really like the taste of alcohol and I live in a religious country, which means that if I survived with any traces of alcohol found in my body I'll probably be disown by my family or at least viewed as a alcoholic

By religious I take it you mean Islamic? How do you even procure alcohol then?

Anyway you could try other anxiolytics such as Valium if you can access those.

Yeah I live in a muslim majority country. I actually tried a sip of beer an international student bought and it tasted horrible. alcoholic drinks are not illegal to sel or consume but it is discouraged to drink or buy it, anyone who do otherwise get called an alcoholic, isolated from their family and society, in some extreme cases they get completely disown. the only way alcohol is acceptable to use is in the medical field. Anyway no I don't have access to anxiolytics, is there no other way? do I just suppressed my own SI? Is that even possible?

Reckon I have never tried this before, but I randomly thought of it. Antihistamines that induce 'drowsiness'. A prominent one is Diphenhydramine (Benadryl),or cold medications such as Brompheniramine /
