this is relieving for me to think about. it's as if the universe ends because the only thing experiencing and creating that universe is the self
We each have our own universe and it will explode when we die. A neuroscientist, Sam Harris, said that what you see with your eyes is all happening in your consciousness. Those grieving a death are in their own parallel world in its own universe.

I'm sure that we will eventually go extinct. It feels inevitable but it's just not happening fast enough for me.

Ty for this beautiful thought.

I hope for a catastrophic event this year , asteroid, supervolcano, rogue planet hitting us.

But im dreaming , we will die slowly but there is hope , 10 millions acres of forest burned in Canada, a record and the summer is only beginning, there is hope not the mention the amazon forest. Hopefully we will reach the tipping point where we will go extinct soon.

there's a book that discusses this topic called "The Conspiracy Against the Human Race." any time I see a light in the world, I tend to reflect on what the book touches on. there are people in the world with good intentions (we don't even live for 8 billion seconds so it's impossible to judge everyone on earth) but we all have an insidious side to us. we do far more harm than good. more people = more problems. even something as simple as producing waste, which is physically impossible for anyone to avoid, causes the earth to become less inhabitable.

If humanity had a chance, it would be with caring, cooperation and understanding.
This seems to go against the basic principles of the latest form humans occupy.
Needs to be more give and less take, as a species we don't seem to be capable of that.
It's just a matter of time till humanity extinguishes itself, closer now than ever before.

The problem is. By nature we all compete. Animal compete for food and dominance, plant compete for space, sunlight and nutrients "survival of the fittest".
The issue I have with humanity, we are "supposedly" more intelligent. Yet we commit atrocities and violate our own defined intelligence. However we are competing, as nature intends. Horrible though it is. Stars shine bright and then die, everything in our known universe does this. We live, and we die. Outside of this existence who knows. The fact that we can record our own history,, and not learn from it is our biggest failure. I believe the world can be truly wonderful. I have known a world like this. I lived it. However I do truly despise the fact that I'm going to die anyway, and I can not have the peace of my loved ones wishing me a good death of my choosing. That again, stunts our own intelligence when it's the only guarantee in our life that we will die. I do not believe animal would choose to perish. They may, but I doubt it. Would much rather give the planet back to them. At least they'll take care of it. I'm not sure of what happens after death, but I do have, and always have thought there's isomething. Then again I believe in aliens, I look into a clear night's sky and see infinite possibilities. I have looked up and seen not one God. We don't know the "endgame" to life or why everything we perceive and beyond are here at all. Unfortunately we are here to compete as all things. Which means there are winners and losers in life. Its seems such a shame huh? Very tedious indeed.

I no longer have the energy to care what happens to humanity. Anger and hatred take way too much out of me. It's not like I'll be around to see what happens once I've successfully CTB'd anyway. Right now I'm struggling more with guilt and regret about things from my past because I've been reflecting back on my life trying to put some thoughts down in writing.

Regardless, I get the feeling human-contributed global climate change will end up wiping out a large portion of humanity anyway. It seems like we've gone past the point of no return.

Yes, humanity must at least be punished for the horrible things they have done to this beautiful universe and neighboring universes, for this has made life a never-ending hell of death and reincarnation.

Look at what some evil humans did in the past, look at the war, you get forced to kill others and get traumatized if you don't kill yourself and if you survive you probably get captured and tortured.
Now there is less war but it still happens and even in the "normal" society people get raped or heavily bullied or other bad things and when they try to kill themself they get locked up, I don't think humanity can ever fix itself.
The problem if humanity wipes itself out would be that good people who like their lives would stop to exist even though they deserve to have a great life but in my opinion it is better if noone exists than if so many people have to endure pain.
The best thing would be if there would just not be evil people and everyone would live a happy life but sadly in this shitty world this is not possible.
I really don't think that there will ever be total peace.
I'm a little too optimistic for that, I guess.
most people are happier than they are sad, I think its possible for humans to maybe be a net positive, in the future.

I see humanity as parasites. We just take and exploit. The world would be better off without us.
