As far as I know (and please do not regard this as gospel) only 15-20 ponds of pressure on your neck are "enough". Once you pass out, unless someone rescues you quickly, you won't wake up.

@lolxd69420 It seems that you don't know what you're doing. If you don't know what you're doing, ever, then stop and think. And maybe don't do it. You might get hurt badly. I will do a full suspension. Partials seem not efficient.

Don't gasp for air, don't panic, don't lift your chin, and don't tense your neck muscles.

If the idea of compression the blood vessels in your neck doesn't bother you, you might consider using a ligature or the "night-night" method - they also let you stay in control of the situation and give you a chance to "prepare". As a last resort, you might consider a full hanging.

i understand and appreciate your comment. i was doing as much research i could find online on the lostallhope.com website back up and saw some useful info but i just feel like i wasnt getting the result i wanted. i will do full suspension if need be, i just thought it would be "easy" and doable inside my bedroom this morning :( Do you know if I am supposed to not be able to breath at all? I felt i still could but was definitely getting that intense pressure in my head and tingling.

I really appreciate the insight. I am very open to those ideas, do you know where I can find out more about how to use a ligature and/or especially the night night method? I was using lostallhope.com's wayback machine back up to get my information and am struggling to find useful info on this. And do you know if I am supposed to not be able to breath at all? Even less wight will do, read something from a doctor the other day he sad even 5 kg can be enough.

My understanding is rope thickness and whare you have the pressure is key for PH, i done PH before obviously failed but from other Resons then my setup, my experience is that getting pressure on the arteries are tricky, what rope/belt/etc you use can change stuff alot

For info about PH I whoud start here:
Not hanging but good info related to the same principle:

I would also recommend reading everything in the sticky threads you find interesting, PPH is a good start for research.

Do not rush the decision to CTB, idk your situation but don't rush it.

I'm not an expert. I haven't actually tried it yet. But I don't think you're suppose to breath at all. As far as I know (from what I read. I think it was on lostall hope.) only a few kilograms of weight should close the breathing canal. I think that if you can breath then you're not doing something right. And if the breathing canal is still open, the others might be open as well. And the attempt might fail and you might get hurt.
