Why does it matter if someone "has their whole life ahead of them"…? it just seems like such a worn out lazy cliche when people say this about anyone considering ctb at a young age…

People's problems don't magically change form, based on being some arbitrary age…

I can honestly say it would have been better if I died suddenly in my sleep as a kid or teen. Yet even if society could see how my life has panned out since that time, many people would still consider it a big tragedy that I didn't get to experience adulthood…

Why exactly? What's so amazing or important about crappy adulthood, that it was so vitally important that I get here?

The tragedy is that I've had to trudge through early/mid adulthood knowing I don't value any of it, and I've seen countless people on here who have expressed similar sentiments.

I actually feel great relief when I see a suffering young person on here who has escaped their pain. Because not only have they escaped their current pain, but very likely several decades more of it… and they can't miss out on any theoretical happy life that some people imagine they might have had.

Plus, it's just discriminatory to diminish or downplay the suffering of someone simply because they happen to be young.

Most human beings get brainwashed by the whole "American dream", "white picket fence", kids and marriage thing, being competitive and moving up the ladder unfortunately. Then there are the "golden years" which for many is just a breaking down body.

They live fake lives and project their insecurities on to others.

Weird right? Tried ending my life before self harming, usually it's the contrary
