• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I have. I've even asked people to haunt me even if it scares the shit out of me. Nothing yet unfortunately.

But even if there is an afterlife, who knows if that kind of thing is even possible.
I joked with a friend once if she would be willing to 'haunt' me if she passed away. She has claimed to be able to do astral projection and believes in afterlife. She passed away 2 years ago and as of late no hauntings from her. If there is an afterlife (and I'm inclined to suspect there is) is that most likely when someone passes over to the next dimension, I think probably one is eager to get to the next level of existence rather than to putz around the earthy World as a spirit in limbo.

I've been reading so much about near death experiences lately. Its crazy how similar they sound to the stuff i have experienced when i was tripping. I'm not religious in any way but I'm 100% sure there is life after physical death and honestly it makes me terrified.

This is an super interesting article about hell.. It says that its only a state of mind and we're actually in hell right now.

Something else I found. This doesn't prove or disprove the afterlife, but it does raise questions on the issue—and is always interesting to hear from the medical community.

I believe in reincarnation and the after life which people would think is weird as I'm not religious. I just don't believe that once we go, we just cease to exist. I feel that when we CTB, we will be reunited with the people that we love, that's one of my motives anyway. I also believe in ghosts, those are people's souls who are lost and haven't finished the things they wanted to do before they died. But I could be wrong and this is just a sim simulation and someone is controlling us.

I am a bible believing Christian, so my take on death may be different than most people here. This video explains my view on death and what comes after and may give some of you helpful information in regards to what is after this life.

Does this presentation assert that taking one's life means one goes to hell? The way this guy is talking he is constantly contradicting himself.

I think what the guy in the video is saying is actually the opposite, that according to the bible, it is impossible for a saved Christian to go to hell if they commit suicide. All sin is forgiven, Jesus payed for it all on the cross, including suicide. Samson and Saul are two famous examples of people in the bible that killed themselves and still went to heaven when they died. Which shows that, according to the bible, that if someone has excepted Christ as saviour by faith alone and are trusting in his death, burial, and resurrection to go to heaven and they know that its a free gift from God that you can't lose, like the guy in the video said, they will go to heaven know matter what.

If I could choose what I believe, I would like to believe what Socrates tells his followers about the afterlife before he drinks the SN in the phaedo. I'd like to live in Plato's realm of ideas where everything isn't convoluted by worldly imperfection, in a perfect world while still being able to kill myself in that realm and go to sleep forever, haha.

i've always believed that wherever one wants to go where they die is where they end up. if you're a christian, you go to heaven. if you want to be reincarnated, you're reborn after passing. if you'd rather not exist at all, you just... sleep forever. the universe is such a malleable force that i think one can manipulate it to create their own world beyond consciousness. personally, i'd like to be reincarnated as i've had a lot of strange past life experiences before. the memories i have are extremely vivid. i was born in 2001 and frequently have flashbacks from the 80s to mid-90s. regardless, we'll all find out what happens eventually (or not)!

I believe there is an afterlife after we die. However, if there isn't then I will feel and see nothing so really it's a win-win situation.

Again, always interested in hearing from the scientific community on the matter of Afterlife. This of course may not prove anything, but still is an interesting piece of science.

So then there is the rhetorical question for those who believe in the Afterlife, how is the Consciousness question addressed for those afflicted with Alzheimer's? It's one thing to go with all of one's mental faculties in tact, but when one dies having forgotten everything, then what is the 'consciousness' that is carried over to the new dimension? Does not the soul consists of a cumulative of the experiences one has in their physical life?

I think one of the things that people make assumptions about is that this is all controlled. There is the possibility that there is an afterlife without things being controlled here. I just think anything is possible. Existence itself is incredibly bizarre, I don't know how anything could be ruled out. There could be an afterlife where you end up remembering everything once you die and "cross over" or whatever it is.

I've had this barrier when I've thought about this too...but I think we all tend to think that if there is something more to this, that someone's ruling over it. What if they're not? What if there is an afterlife but with no God or organizer? And it just exists in the same way that this just exists now and there aren't any real answers as to how?

I know that some people CTB hoping for a better life hereafter. However, I'm an atheist and feel it's pointless speculating about things on which we have no irrefutable evidence.

Me I'm fervently agnostic. While it may be pointless, speculating provides miles of fun & creativity. Besides, in this case, lots of people *do* have irrefutable (for them) evidence and we can't prove any of them wrong.

If I were to suggest that between the Earth and Mars there is a china teapot revolving about the sun in an elliptical orbit, nobody would be able to disprove my assertion provided I were careful to add that the celestial teapot is too small to be revealed even by our most powerful telescopes. The existence of this celestial teapot cannot be disproven. We can look and scan the skies almost for eternity, and it may always just be the case that it wasn't in the place we looked - there may be another spot we've overlooked, or it may have moved while we were looking. However, given the absurd nature of the specific example, the teapot, we would rightly infer that absence of evidence is evidence of absence.

That's fine, but it's a very tunnel-vision way of looking at it. At one point, we probably didn't know other planets existed...until we did. That doesn't mean they didn't exist before we found out they did.

I think whether there's an afterlife or not, there is just a ton that we don't know, understand, or can comprehend about the universe or our existence. Science only offers us knowledge for what we've discovered and learned up until this present moment.

My issue with both self-identified religious and atheist people is that so much of the time they're very close-minded. It's kind of like the Democrats and Republicans, there's a conformist philosophy once one chooses to join that party.

Space and nature themselves are so bizarre and there's actually very little science to explain so much of it.

In fact, there's a lot science says about space and nature.

I'm pretty confident in saying there is no afterlife. Most people who study physics would agree. there is no spiritual realm in quantum physics so therefore there is no afterlife its just simply lights out

We won't know if there is an afterlife or isn't until we CTB. If there is an afterlife, what would it be like? Do the standards of what qualifies you to go to heaven or hell change? Is there a purgatory? Do we walk around on Earth and interact with things like in the Sixth Sense? There are millions of ideas on what the afterlife could look like, but we just don't know.

We can go on and on about science proving that there is or isn't an afterlife, but science isn't 100% accurate. There could be nothing when we CTB. We could pass out, see a vision of someone, and go to the light where it ends with nothing. Scary? Yes. I hope there isn't nothing, but can I complain about it when I have no more thoughts? No. I can't.

When we die do we reincarnate to be born as a baby from some other place in time and location? We just don't know.

The selfish part of me wants to believe that once we die, we will be judged based on the actions we've done to see if we go to heaven or hell. Be good? Wonderful afterlife with everything you could possibly want. Reincarnation? You can go back down to Earth to try again. Want to sleep eternally? You can have that as well. Anything you can imagine, you can have as long as it makes you happy.

Be evil? Misery and torture awaits you.

At the end of the day, there is only one way we can find the answer.
