Hi guys, here for advice but thought I'd give you a little background first…I'm a retired cop, I'm only 41 but I was retired on medical grounds due to degenerative disc disease in my lower back. I've had four operations so far and it still hurts like hell…anyway…unknown to me I had latent ptsd, during December 2021 my mental health slowly went down and down to the point when on boxing night I tried to eat my gun. I was 100% going to do it but when it came to pulling the trigger I just beefed it. Next thing I know the cops have arrived, taken my gun and I'm being taken to the hospital. Anyway, my loving wife decided the best way to deal with this would be to kick me out of the house, keep me out then break up with me. Needless to say I'm just gutted, when her mum died a few years ago and when her dog died I gave her all the support she needed then when I need support she decides to kick me when I'm down….man I wish I'd pulled that trigger…
So….yeah back to now…..I got real low at the weekend, left the house, bought two disposable barbecues and intended to light them then ctb in my car. Only problem was I couldn't find anywhere discrete to do it. I drove around for a couple of hours then eventually gave up and went home. That's when I found this site, I saw a thread by a chap called quick77….I don't know how many of you were following it but wow, I wish I could have his determination and good humour when I'm about to turn the lights off…anyway…

I've narrowed down my possibilities to two things, the first is SN. I live in the UK and can't find anywhere here that sells it to the average joe. I found some on that site named after a river but it's listed as SN/pink curing salt….before I splash the cash will this so the job or does it have a janky salt ratio or something?
Also, I've read some conflicting accounts of how long it takes to work. Some sources say lights out in 30 minutes and others say it takes hours. I'd be mixing 20/25g in 100ml of water after first taking some ibuprofen and antacids, I'd be parking up somewhere with a nice view and then drinking it…I'd hate to think I could be sitting there for hours, too much scope for someone to phone for an ambo….

Second, that chap quick77, took something called "N", and had the courtesy to post about his experience, he stopped posting after about 5 minutes so I'm guessing that's when the lights went out. Can anyone enlighten me as to what "N" is? No doubt it'll be as difficult to procure as SN, would anyone have any tips for procuring it or SN, preferably someone who has gotten it into the UK or Europe and knows the ins and outs.

I'm pretty sure that all I have to look forward to is more pain, suffering and hardship, I'd love to think that I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure I'm not. I'd sooner go now than hang around and wait for more shit to happen to me so any advice would be appreciated :)

I'm sorry for your back. The bad thing about physical pain is that it's hard to escape. With mental pain you can go for a walk, play video games, watch a movie or tv shows, draw, read, sleep, talk with others, listen to music or audio books in order to forget the pain, but with physical pain, it's often hard to sleep and if you can't do much without your back hurting, it's of course really depressing. You need good physical health to have good mental health.

Your wife sounds awful. I'm really sorry you have had to experience that. What she did was unforgivable. I'm sorry for the loss of your dog and mother-in-law too. It's good that you treated her well, but it's awful how she repaid. I wish good deeds were rewarded with good things.

N is nembutal iirc. Used to put down animals, and if I'm right, also used in anesthesia in humans, and if I'm correct, taking it is like being on a surgery table and suddenly falling asleep. Very difficult to obtain in most countries, but for many it's the ideal way to ctb.

I don't know much about ctbing with SN. I remember many say that you should fast before it, probably for better and faster absorption or something. I hope someone else can tell more about it.

CTB is the only way out because scientists have been looking for cure for 30+ years but still haven't found anything... simple fu*ing disc, where's the problem?

I'm sorry for everything you've been through. Do not buy the "river" source of Sodium Nitrite. It's mostly salt and actually only about .6% of Sodium Nitrite. You need 95% or better, pure Sodium Nitrite. I've heard of a place called IC where people in the UK are able to buy and have it shipped. I don't know what IC stands for but someone around here does. I truly hope you find peace in whatever path you take. Life isn't supposed to be like this, and many have accepted it as normal....I can't.

No one here is going to tell you anything about N or SN regarding where to get it. You'll have to discover it on your own. I already think another poster has offered way too much info to someone who just got here and posted one single post. You've been here for 1 post. If you want to gain access to more info, you need to interact with others, post, and gain privileges as time goes on. It's funny you bring up quix77. I was there when he passed. Or, at least we think he passed. Honestly, I wasn't there with him, so all I can do is go by what happened in the thread. Heck, a new guy like you with just 1 post, who just shows up and mentions quix77 right off the bat, for all we know YOU may BE quix77? You know, none of us, or right next to none of us, actually know anyone else on this site. You know not all the CTBs on here actually occur. I'm really sorry about your situation with your back and your wife. That really sucks. You'll just have to be patient, read some threads, do some posting, hang around a while, pay attention, learn some things, and let things happen as they are supposed to. I know it may sound harsh, but it's really not. There's a lot of good people here. No one encourages anyone to do anything. What you eventually do is on you.

thanks man, that's not even the worst of her fuckery. When I moved into her house she told me her parents owned it and that she was renting off them and I'd have to pay half…..weird setup but ok…..so they went on for 10 years. When we split up I looked into who actually owned the house and turns out she owns it. She had been ripping me off for 10 years! Thought I knew her and turns out I didn't know her at all, I've basically wasted 15 years of my life with someone who turned out to be an utter c**t!

thanks man, I'm not sure how pm works on this but I think I have to have a certain number of forum posts before I can send/receive, but I'm definitely interested in hearing more about that. SN isn't illegal here….yet, it's only a matter of time before you need a licence to possess it so I'm keen to get some sooner rather than later…

A friend of mine died a couple of years back from throat cancer, was diagnosed at the start of February and by the end of that same month he was gone. I find myself increasingly envious, but I'm not lucky enough to get something terminal, I'm going to have to do my own dirty work. I keep reading stories about people with everything to live for getting cancer and dying 6-12 months later and here's me actually wanting to ctb and life says "nah, you have more suffering to endure". Life sure has a twisted sense of humour

An anti-emetic is recommended with SN as vomiting is the main problem with SN.


There is only one reliable source of N. Their email is listed in the PPeH.

Sadly there is a current shortage of N and it may or may not become available again in July.

There are lots of scammers offering N so caution is advised.

N is my preferred method. I honestly dont want to use SN but will probably buy some as a back up. N should be back around in July.
Dont buy the pink salt
Also not sure I'd take SN in car unless you're absolutely sure no one will find you.
The timing seems to be different for some and I'm no expert on it

Crazy, right? You usually need only one degenerated disc to want to kill yourself. But at least I can be 100% focused on CTB, because I know there is no other hope for me.

I dunno if anyone said this already, but there are many countries in wich SN is very easy to buy. sometimes it's sold at common online marketplaces, other times it's sold in more specific websites.

you can search online, for example, for stores that sell materials for reactions. I don't know the name exactly as I'm not a native english speaker, but these are "chemistry" stores that sell everything for making chemical laboratory reactions. we can't post sources on the public forum, but a careful and patient search online may get you to a source/store.

in Brazil at 2022, it's super easy to buy SN in common online marketplaces. it comes to your home in days with no questions asked.

in some countries you buy it normally but get asked what's the name of the place you work and why you need nitrite. in others you get a visit in your home by the "welfare" after buying it.

there may be other countries like Brazil in which it's super easy to buy.

that's not true. SN is legal, it's just a common salt used for multiple purposes. it's super OK to tell someone where to find it (via PM of course). after all, everyone can find these stores anyway.

I honestly don't think anyone should be telling someone with only 8 posts, for whom you know nothing about, where to get anything like SN or N. You know, there are posers on here, right? You might just be giving them the ammunition they need to make even a stornger case for shutting this site down. And, it can very well be argued that if you are telling people, in effect showing people, where to get items so that they may ctb, you are an accessory. Now, that may depend where you are located. I honestly don't think anyone should be telling someone with only 8 posts, for whom you know nothing about, where to get anything like SN or N. You know, there are posers on here, right? You might just be giving them the ammunition they need to make even a stornger case for shutting this site down. And, it can very well be argued that if you are telling people, in effect showing people, where to get items so that they may ctb, you are an accessory. Now, that may depend where you are located. Suicide in the USA may not be illegal, but helping someone ctb, certainly is. And you do have an identifiable IP address that can be traced to you. Just things to think about. I think that newer people on SS should have to hang around a bit, do some posting, make themselves known, interact with others in threads, that kind of thing, before everything is just handed over on a golden platter.

now about shutting down a site, it's so silly to think that someone can do that. they can't even block SS on a country. and there are many countries that have already quote unquote "blocked" SS and people in that countries are using SS normally via VPN. Instagram just got "blocked" by Russia recently and yet everyone there is still using Instagram. I've talked to many chineses throughout my life and the plataforms we were using were all in theory "banned" in China. also, if a web hoster doesn't want to host your site, you just change the host. the internet probably doesn't work the way you think it does.

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or now but I can only get this site on my mobile using my home wifi. I can't get it on my desktop (which uses the exact same wifi) or on my mobile using 5g or public wifi, I just get a timeout message or page failed to load. Anyone else have this issue?

no. it's supposed to work. if it's loading on one device and not loading on another device, the problem is in the specific device that doesn't load it.

or maybe someone is trying to block the website for you but haven't been able to do that completely, I don't know.

anyway, I like Proton VPN, it's free, zero ads at the moment, has split tunneling, has many options and is not that slow for a free VPN.
