ive seen some say that antiemetic isnt entirely necessary with sn but i dont want to mess it up. it does delay things to try and get a prescription though which worries me. i have a history of being hospitalized for attempts and im worried that a doctor could catch on to what im doing, especially if i specifically mention meto. im also just a really bad liar and im afraid i couldnt be convincing enough for the doctor to prescribe what im looking for.

i was supposed to be prescribed antipsychotics months ago but i declined because i was afraid of the diabetes risk. this was long before i learned about sn otherwise i wouldve. my psychiatrist left office so im kind of just stuck on a waiting list and wondering if i could get something sooner. i dont think i could just go to any old doctor telling them i was supposed to be prescribed an antipsychotic but i declined? maybe if i stress to my therapist that im unable to function without medication she could pull some strings to get me a psychiatrist sooner? the only way i was able to get medication prescribed immediately was when i was hospitalized, so i hope i wont have to resort to that.

if i go to a walk in clinic could i be prescribed something that would work? ive heard of people going to any pharmacy and asking for antiemetics but im pretty sure you need a diagnosis, right? like i cant just go to walgreens and tell them to give me meto?

if i can skip antiemetic i might have to. im not sure if i have some kind of condition but i havent thrown up ever since i was very young, even when im very very sick. whenever ive had to drink a foul tasting medicine i can usually hold my nose and be fine. is it the stomach's reaction that causes the vomiting and not the initial ingestion?

Meto/Domperidone is to prevent puking but you can skip it, it's more like a supplement from what I've read, but don't forget the anti-acid and prop

A few anti psychotic meds have the ability to work as a antiemetic, if taken the right dosage. If you speak to a doctor and ask for them to prescribe it again, and that you were going to get it a while ago but decline, but now changed your mind, I think they would be fine with that and wouldn't really find it suspicious.

Antiacid and propranolol are no longer recommended by the PPeH

I got olanzapin when I voluntarily sought out psychiatric help and told them of my suicide plans. Actually mentioned SN. Olanzapin functions as an antiemetic as far as I'm aware, so I have some waiting for when I want to CTB. Got benzos too, so now I have an antiemetic, benzos and soon, SN. Then just over the counter pain med and antacid.

i had anxiety meds prescribed to me years ago but im not sure if they classify as benzos. i might try to get those too but i remember they didn't really do anything. i think if i tell the doctors that i want my anxiety meds and antipsychotics prescribed at the same time they might get suspicious. my old psychiatrist handed out drugs like candy to me. im not sure if others will do the same.

What version of pp says that? 2022?
The propranol was September 2022, I think. Not sure about the antacids, though. If you search in the group both have been discussed quite a bit

I was given some for vertigo. I get it bad when it happens, the whole rooms spin round. Everything spins round. Can't focus on anything. And it lasts until I get something for it, antiemetics. Even closing your eyes or trying to sleep spins as well, it's horrible.
The other thing I've been given them for is migraine vomiting. When I get that bad, the pains are excruciating, even flashing lights when I move my head, and throwing up...
Worth a try? Xx

Antimetics are primarily used to treat nausea and vomiting, but because nausea and vomiting are common symptoms for a variety of problems, plus with there being so many different kinds of antimetics used to treat different things, getting a hold of an antimetic without outright requesting for your doctor for an antimetic I think could be very difficult.

I think your best bet would be to tell your doctor you're suffering from motion sickness while being driven long distances and that it's making you vomit (also tell your doctor you've tried all the tricks for avoiding motion sickness and that they're not working https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/motion-sickness/). I've read that antimetics are usually used to treat nausea and vomiting caused from motion sickness.
