I was out walking the other day and I noticed several abandoned buildings. I scoped out the area a bit and looks like could get in. Anyone thought about ctbing in an abandoned building?

This seems like a risky option, depending on the location of course. If there are other people around then it would make things difficult to be able to CTB undisturbed.

Sounds good at first but when you think about it anybody could find you! Even drunk guys or homeless people. And then, "save you"

Yeah that's one thing I was thinking however I do know most around are drunk or high. Could play into favor. I'm just curious. My plan is in a hotel

I see a problem with this. You risk traumatizing the probably innocent strangers who find you. In the worst-case scenario they're children.

I'm more concerned about a method only leaving you unconscious and while you're unable to defend yourself you're being sexually assaulted by a stranger. it's too risky for me. :(

Even abandoned buildings sometimes still have owners... The owner could perhaps get into trouble, if that's important to your choice.

I have never understood this honestly, no matter what someone will be traumatized by seeing your dead corpse. Regardless of where you choose to take your life, home, hotel, nature, etc. it truly can't be helped.

Paramedics and police officers are, to one degree or another, used to it, but most other people aren't. I'm not a particularly sensitive person, but I would certainly not want to find a corpse. Notice that it may take time before the corpse is found and it can be in a late stage of decomposition.

An option would be to put up warning signs at the entrance of the building or the room you're in.

Thats fair enough, stick a sticky note or something else you brought on hand and place it in spot not visible from the street, but visible within the building. That way you at least can say that you gave them a chance. When it comes to method, I feel that one can't be choosey depending on their circumstances, and so take what you can if you're desperate.

well shit! I'm glad I posted this. Like I said prefer to ctb in a hotel. It was just something I thought about when I noticed how many were around. The owners getting in trouble is not something I wanna cause. And nut bags doing something to my corpse.... nope. No way. Cheap hotel is perfect !

I might sound like a douche, but idc if someone gets "traumatized" by seeing my dead body. Death is natural, and a decaying corpse is part of life. Get used to it

I agree, who cares, whether the bodies intact or it splats like on a train or a car, whatever works.

Could be cool

There are a lot of abandoned buildings in the world even in places that are what fox or CNN would call "economically healthy "
