A way to obtain a firearm that can fire medium/heavy caliber bullets ? Location: Western Europe

Method: join a local shooting club: legal restrictions, takes a lot of time, you are likely not allowed to take the firearm to your home.

Hunting ? Lots of local legal restrictions. If nothing else, it takes a long time.

Method: dark web ? Never done anything like it. I wouldn't want to be scammed, caught in some kind of trap or heaving to deal with a delivery that is intercepted by customs. Dark net markets have been infiltrated before, and I think most don't allow selling firearms.

Connections with the criminal 'underworld': I don't have any !

Anyone ? It's very different than in the USA.

I'm in the US, so my experience/knowledge might not be applicable, but I have the sense that in Europe muzzle-loaders are more easily obtained than modern cartridge guns. They aren't as simple to use as a cartridge gun, but they're certainly large caliber and effective. You might explore that.
