I just found out that a friend of mine's parents kicked her out of their house and she has to work full time and go to college to pay rent. I am so angry at her parents right now. She's so much more hardworking and well adjusted than me. I honestly have feelings for her but she's so out of my league. I feel bad just thinking about it all. How could her parents do that to her? Why do I get handed everything on a silver platter when others don't? I should ctb and save everyone the effort it takes to be around me.

Some parents are fucking selfish assholes, that's why. It's not your fault and your situation isn't anything you should punish yourself for either, don't bloody CTB because of that. Accept what you're given and just do your best to work with it, that's how to show gratitude for what you get and thank people, by trying to make a success with what you have. No-one wants you to CTB. Unless they're fucking loony tunes.

The world definitely seems cruel with how much it makes good people suffer, plus none of us can choose our birth family so often we're stuck with shitty people.
The fact that you feel so bad about it makes me think you're a very empathetic and caring person though so I don't think you deserve to be feeling so crappy, plus the world needs more caring people. Remember that you'll always be your biggest critic, others don't judge you so harshly. I hope you feel better soon and that her circumstances improve.

The reality is that there is simply nothing fair about this life. So many people suffer all through no fault of their own and it's just the way that things are in this awful world and it disgusts me how people continue to procreate as such a thing just leads to unnecessary harm
Some people's problems are more evident in the way that you can see things happening to them in the external world. That being said, this does not negate the validity of those problems that others can't see that persist inside our mind and body through either chronic physical or mental pain.
I don't think there's any reason to beat yourself up over that but I definitely understand where you're coming from.
Also, I'm not sure why they would kick her out considering that she is putting so much effort into building a life and sustaining herself. It seems like if someone was going to have kids, all that they should logically desire for them is to have a good life and sustain themself. Kicking her out is definitely not helping that cause.

I didn't pry so I have no idea why her parents did that. It could be anything from tough love to homophobia to her doing something bad. I don't know what bad thing she could've done to warrant this though if she even did anything bad at all.
Yeah homophobia came to mind when I was initially wondering why they'd do that to her. Some humans are quite strange with the things that they arbitrarily decide are unacceptable.
