when I first heard this number it felt very high. But now it just feels comforting. Like I am not in this alone, yknow? With these suicidal thoughts I always felt alone. Like something was wrong with me.

Also, only 400 000 homicides per year.

Goes to shoe that emotional damage is more likely to lead to death than direct physical abuse.

Sometimes, the whole family of a suicided person deserves to be jailed for emotional abuse and/or neglect.

They should (and the world) adopt a no child policy lol. Maybe a bit extreme but I do believe that antinatalism should be trending. The people who encourage people (like the pope) to have more kids are the biggest problem.

I agree to that. I think this is a good movement at the moment: It probably won't take off though because people are stupid and can't think rationally.

When people are educated they have expectations about the society, women want to work to have more control, low birth rate is natural. Increasing n won't change much.

Western societies have no n child policy, but they still face low birth rate and very much rely on migrants to keep society functioning.

Likewise for assisted suicide, even they set a very low bar, if the society is attractive and hopeful, only a small number of people will choose to die.
