His journey to discover how cruel the world is after gaining intelligence.

Eren Yeager (Attack on Titan)
The character development is fascinating, also... (SPOILER ALERT) he wants to destroy the world like me.

Shinji Ikari (Neon Genesis Evangelion)
Hedgehog's dilemma.

Some of the characters are not my favourite, but i can sympathize them.

I like Peter Pan form the eponymous animated film (1953). Doesn't like to do boring work, prefers fantasy over reality. I'm pretty sure we had more similarities as I remember myself watching this movie a lot during childhood. Oh, and he can fly.

I like Gandalf. Judging from the movie version he's wise and powerful and a badass mage who seem to always know what to do.

I like Hanharr from KotOR II. He's brutally honest, doesn't like cages, and is unusually wise and perceptive for a walking carpet. He puts the quality of life above quantity, and exchanges valuable insights with the Exile (protagonist of the story) as they are going through space adventures.
