I find it both laughable and sad that in our day and age people still believe that garbage .

Oh I don't know now I didn't believe in God but I believe in the spirit world I have watched and read many accounts of rebirth, NDE and Out of body accounts and I am starting to believe we come back, there are lot's of YouTube video's, there were two psycharatrists who have been investing these claims for over 20 years now there cases are from all around the world I even watched Unsolved Mystiers yesterday and there is a very good case on there, link below.

I'm starting to think I have been condemed to repeat life over and over again as a punishment, :smiling:

Catholic Church national wealth estimated to be $100 billion

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
$30 billion. It also has an annual revenue of $6 billion, with nearly 90 percent of the amount coming from member contributions called tithing, in which members are required to give 10 percent of their entire income.

The Church of England
$6.7 billion that earns more than $255 million each year. It also gets more than $320 million in donations and $400 million through its events and services.

To name but a few and what do they do when a natural disaster happens ? pray .
The small church down my street got Lottery funding of £250k for a new roof last year !

All Cults .

All though this was a very long time ago, my parents used to be hardcore Christians. Went to church religiously, etc. The church told them one day that they couldn't keep attending unless they started 'donating' more to them...they were busy taking care of 3 sons, 1 that was dying, and a newborn daughter.... needless to say, they stopped going to church entirely. As much as i dislike a lot of things about my parents, that was total BS, and a good way to lose 2 followers.

I believe all gods exist but I only worship the Norse gods as I'm Pagan. But I did come to the conclusion once that we are all gods and that we are all connected.

No, there's nothing. Our lives are as meaningless as the wrapper you put in the bin earlier.
However, I do believe in making the most you can out of being that wrapper.

was present when my grandfather died. He looked towards the window and lucidly asked "are you here for me?"
He could be talking symbolically about death and how it was finally there for him.

He could've been hallucinating.

There are actually a lot that could have transpired except spirits came to him.

That sounds like something a natalist / parent would preach.

So basically what you're saying is that if you would have 10 minutes until you would be hanged publicly, there would be a point in making something of those 10 minutes with your hands tied to the pole before you eventually break your neck and die?

Are you a serious antinatalist or are you just trying to be an edgelord? Good point about making something out of your last 10 minutes before being hanged.

I do believe in God. I'm not religious. I went to church over estimate 8x- 2 for my kids baptism once when my dad died and at least 2 I went with a childhood friend. I had a very accurate mediumship reading after my son died. She said I want to say leave those cancer sticks alone- my sons EXACT words for my cigarettes. It made my hair stand up. I was wanting to commit suicide and said my younger son would be happy he would be with my ex in laws. She also knew this and said all the family in the world isn't the same as having mum.. she said more that was beyond accurate. There was no where she could have found this information. Anyway she said Joey my son whose passed was telling me John 3:16 (for God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son so those who believe in him may have ever lasting life) an odd bit of information from a medium. Than my son was coming in dreams and telling me thing about God and religion. I would have to ask ex in laws and yes it was stuff in the bible.. I believe my son was leading me closer to God. Do I believe in hell? no we are in hell. I do believe in a purgatory though. I've never read a bible. I might at some point.

I abandoned my Christian upbringing after being brought to attention the crimes that are committed in the name of Christ and the Christian god. However I'm a firm believer that there's some wisdom to be found in any religion. I kinda like the Hindu idea that the aspect of the Divine (in their case Brahma) is everywhere and basically embodies the whole universe. I also got really high recently and came to a realization that by extension that also extends to myself and that I too am an aspect of the universe and by extension the Divine. It was really comforting at the time especially since I had a little too much weed and was basically just fending off paranoia but it was a really cool experience. I even kinda had a conversation with what appeared to be and aspect of the Divine, which was also an aspect of myself by extension. I'm not saying IM God, I'm not that much of a conceited idiot, but I am now a firm believer that the Divine comes from within. Whatever that entails. Hell the universe could really just be all dead matter and not have much else more too it beyond the physical laws that govern it, but it doesn't matter to me because I got to see evidence for myself that the most important aspect of the Divine comes from within. Wish that were enough to convince me not to want to die but eh, what are ya gonna do. I was just born to be miserable, Divine within me or not. I'm just another weird ape smart enough to realize that I live in a decaying capitalist hellscape and I can't exactly change that save from dying.

I used to believe in catholic god very strongly a couple of years ago, however now I am agnostic atheist. Honestly I don't know if any of thousands of gods exist but I think there's no god or any supernatural powers that rules this world.

I believe there is more out there.

I don't know if i believe in a "one God".. i think i'm more of a pagan "many gods/goddesses" person. I see the divine in everything around me- in nature- in the moon- in other people... not in me.

I was present when my grandfather died. He looked towards the window and lucidly asked "are you here for me?"

There was no one there that we could see. Those were his final words- he passed away. I truly believe a spirit or spirits came to lead him forward-

I don't know what comes next, if we become a mass of combined energy where we all come to Know each other because we all meld into the universe and become one- or if we are reincarnated on this earth (please no!) or if we move on to some other existence- but i do think that my theory is that of many divine minds not just one...

Though i really feel like no God cares about me...
For me when so many people attack for false reasons it means God doesn't care.

It's hard to believe in a "GOD". If it exists it doesn't care.

I believe in God, I love him I just don't love my life and it is hard because I don't belong here in Recovery because I really wish that everything could end but I don't belong to ctb either because due to my disability I haven't got the means to achieve it. So I fail to God, to life, and also to death. I am just really lost

I'm agnostic which means I don't know about God/gods/afterlife stuff and I think it's laughable for something as insignificant as me or really any ordinary human being to even claim to know for sure whether or not those things are real. I do believe there potentially could be higher powers out there be them deities/aliens/humans from a future time-travel police force/etc. but like...there could be infinite reasons for them to hide their existence so believing in them doesn't do anything. And yet, I also believe it's different from atheism since to me, making the bold claim that there is absolutely nothing out there with 100% certainty is just as condescending and arrogant as any religion could be. Atheism might as well just be about worshipping yourself as a deity for being so smart and figuring it all out.

Then again, I may be a bit biased since I have an extremely Christian mother and an extremely Atheist father. I think I mentioned this all before though.

God, as Yahweh or christian deity, I believe that exists as another spiritual entity. But I consider him a mental slave owner (Yes, I blasphemed against it), a trickster who survives with the prayers and blind faith of their followers. Sure, I could be disproved by any sagacious christian apologetic, but nevermind, I will not fear the hell if it really exists.
I consider myself a pagan person. I want to be more serious about magick and spells, perhaps apply some Wicca. Also I tried to some hinduism but I wasn't entirely a devotee, specially because my dietary habits (I love red meat) and abandon the meditation frequently. I see myself as a dark person, who embrace the occultism as a rightful path to achieve spiritual or philosophical relief to this awful existence who all humans we must confront. I want to get some symbol tattoos in my body and, in an ideal world, I want to become a demon. In the inner core, I can't prove anything: it's all faith in something. In my case, I believe that so-called Savior Jesus doesn't a good deity to follow, so as is its father Yahweh. Whatever. I hope someday I can afford a decent altar and some candles and essences to my spells.
