It's Ok I Wouldn't Remember Me Either

I never understood why you would want a break from someone you really like. By "break," I mean not wanting to talk to them for a couple of days. All my friends disappear on me for days sometimes. They say it's not about me or about how much they like someone, and that the two things aren't related. Or so they say.
I'm literally unable to understand how "liking someone a lot" and "not wanting to talk to them" can coexist at the same time.
It's impossible for me to understand how they can coexist. Am I so broken? I can't function the way society wants me to. I would never want space from someone I really like talking to. Why would I? I can understand wanting space from people you're not so close to, but not having the desire to connect with your closest friends?
For me, it just means you don't like that person enough. And I'm stuck in the "I need to make you like me" mindset. And I'm tired of always having to make people like me so they won't leave me.
The conclusion is that I'm not made for this world. If this is how the majority of people function, okay, then it means I'm too broken and a mistake because I don't function like this, and I can't understand for the life of me why this is the "right way" and why mine is "wrong." I'm too broken. I shouldn't have existed in the first place, and I hate the day I was born into this world.
I'm not made for this shit.
