Yes I would like to live in the middle ages actually. Back then life was so much simpler, and most people had tight communities and religious faith. Nowadays, what is the point anymore? People are increasingly isolated. People live to old ages, but lonely and depressed. Society is becoming more secular, and less religious, taking away what comforted us for thousands of years. Now our sufferings make no sense and have no meaning, no promised after life rewards.
What is going on with modern society? Social media and technology are suppose to connect us closer, but instead it creates a bubble around us and isolate us in real life. We are losing touch with one another. Especially as you get out of school, making friends becomes nearly impossible unless you're attractive. Finding a sexual partner is also super hard now due to changing social values and increased competition from dating apps.
I am willing to give away all the modern "comforts", and live a simpler, more social life. Doesn't matter that means I die in my 40s, because I would probably already have grandkids by that age, and religion would give me comfort and meaning to my sufferings, and ease my death with the promise of heaven.
