Discussion Would you be willing to die unprepared?

Hello folks,

Imagine you get offered a pill by a stranger. This pill will kill you instantly, without pain. You can either take the pill now and have an "easy" way to ctb, or you can refuse the offer. Not accepting will mean you will never get this offer again. Would you be willing to die without any notice or having time to prepare?

This is just a discussion I was interested in, and would like to hear what you guys would choose.

No. It's an attractive offer, but i couldn't leave my loved ones behind without any form of letter or goodbye.

Yes, as I see it as always preferable to not exist, only ceasing to exist is ideal to me and is all that feels rational.

I don't see any value in suffering in this meaningless existence that only leads to death and decay anyway, a peaceful exit from this existence would solve everything and bring peace, as after all nobody can suffer from not existing, all is forgotten about once one ceases to exist.

Having the option of such a peaceful exit would be a relief in this hellish reality where suicide is purposely made so difficult despite all the harm existence causes. Existence was just a horrific mistake in the first place, only the absence of everything is true perfection.

Depends on the situation I'm in at that moment. Right now I would say no, too much to prepare and still have someone who would be devastated. Without that person, I wouldn't hesitate and say yes.

Yes I would instantly . there is that "pill" . 15 - 20 grams of nembutal liquid or powder . you mix it with a little water. But they made nembutal illegal and a crime to sell or buy .
I wonder how many 10's of millions of people would buy Nembutal if it were legalized without a prescription. about $20 . ok i would compromise show id age 18 and over .
Oh you mean all I have to do is take a little drink and I'll fall asleep painlessly in 5 minutes and cease to exist . and then i don't have to put of with all this crap , work diseases threats injustice , oppression, getting old 1000 other horrible things ? I think a lot of people would do it.

I think i would. At this moment in time i have letters prepared, and pill like that would take me out instant. No need to plan, preare and execute whole tactics to ctb.

I likely wouldn't take the offer, just because the moment isn't quite right at this exact time. But it's definitely a very tempting offer.

Without any hesitation. I personally believe that dying will always be the better choice. I personally see life as something i should get rid off asap

I'd cry and struggle with decision tbh. Likeee as long as im allowed at least.... hmm 30 mins? To think about it im alright. Preferably with a human to be my sound board and listen to my verbal processing then id kno in the moment if it's what I want. As of rn tho I'd take that shit right away. ️

I don't mind letters or other similar stuff.

Providing an easy painless death is the dream and tbh if I ever did it I don't think I'd leave something like a note or a final message. Time for ppl to stop you and stuff, no one I'd actually consider leaving something for and I think as weird as it sounds almost be too embarrassed to leave anything ig. Like writing down my feelings and expressing them would just feel wrong somehow tbh

Right now, in this very moment, I wouldn't even think twice. I'd swallow the pill and lie down for my very last "sleep."

But if you were to ask me tomorrow or the day after, or whatever random day, I have no idea what my answer might be. I could be in the midst of enjoying a fairly decent day and say "nah."

I'm prepared, I wrote my letters, my family would find them in my closet. I got everything done I wanted to before leaving; so I'd be really tempted.
It would probably depend on the state of mind I'm in. I had a pretty rough day so atm I wouldn't hesitate to take it.

I guess it depends. Would the coroner think it was just some unexplained but natural death? In which case- I'd maybe do it. I think even sudden natural death would be easier on those left behind rather than suicide.

If they'd know it was suicide- then- no. There are certain things I am hanging on for and things I would want to organise first. I'd feel so bitter about it though. A painless, quick, reliable way out is what many of us want more than anything I expect.

I'd take it instantly. No questions asked. I'm one to never get any opportunities appear in front of me like that but, if I were to get that opportunity, I'd take it without hesitation

My apartment is very messy right now and it would be quite embarrassing to leave it in this state, but yes, I'd take the offer. I really need to get around to cleaning though.

As of right now I would reject the offer but I already was in situations, especially last year where I would taken the offer immediately. It depends very much on the current situation for me whether I would do it or not.
