It was an indescribable pain

I know this might come off as an incredibly stupid question but please bear with me. I have few sources to choose from and the most reliable one I know of that wouldn't require testing sells their SN in plastic bags. But the people who've used that source CTB shortly after receiving their SN so I have no idea if it could last for a few months up to a year (which is what I need). I plan on storing my SN in my desk drawer that I don't use. It's chilly, dark and doesn't have any moisture. I still can't help but feel anxious about it since I only get one chance at getting and storing my SN, by the time I use it I won't be able to order a new package (I have a progressive disease).

I'm a bit concerned about keeping it in a plastic container as well but it feels more secure than a plastic bag I think. The only reason I'm not automatically going with that option is because I haven't seen anyone else use that source and I don't know if it's legit. I'd like some input on the plastic bag vs container question.

As long as it has an airtight seal, either will work about the same.

Many plastic bags have miniature holes in them which is not ideal. You can double or triple bag it to reduce this.

Medicine bottles or ones with a plastic seal are good too.

Just a random thought.

One trick that people don't think about when they decide to by vacuum sealers for frozen food, is that you can get a good enough result by putting the food in a zip-lock bag and then gently submerging it in water up to the seal and then sealing it. The water pushes nearly all the air out - more than you would push out with just your fingers.
