Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

working in retail really brings out the carnal nature in people. You realise that people just like animals, just want to gain something all the time. No animal likes to not get their way, so when an animal doesnt get what they want, what do you think happens. Its in each one of our natural instincts. To get upset and fight in anyway it can to get what it wants. The thing is animals need it, but most humans mostly just wnt it. But they were connected by the human in the same pathway to someone convince themselves that they do. This nature doesnt leave us. Our bodies are the make up of a biological animal. You cant hide it. It is you. Im not upset that it exists (I am) Im upset that I have to constntly experience the animal emotions of humans for my livelyhood. Realising the ego is the base of a highly intelligent ape. We realise that no one actually cares, as long as they get what they want, or until they cant.

As someone who worked in retail and restaurants for awhile, and was even a customer service manager at one point, I think it's easy to see the bad. But from my time across industries and different businesses, I saw far more good each day. It's just that the bad is what sticks with you. Even now, I work as a loan officer, and 99% of my interactions on a daily basis are positive, but the ones I think about at the end of the day are the negative ones.

I 100% agree with you.

I have been in the business world over 50 years and what you said fits to a "T" human nature.

It is about: me, I and mine.

Greedy and so self-centered AND backstabbing, let's NOT forget that ever so fine human nature aspect, YIKES!

Humans are animals. Ofc we evolved a higher level of consciousness and are at the top of the food train and we like to think we are somehow "better" than animals, we aren't. We can tell ourselves all the stories we want to tell ourselves, but we're not special. And those animal instincts will win everytime in any scenario or construct. Retail is an important excellent more specific time/place where these behaviors are in display.

I VIVIDLY remember ringing out rude customers and hearing cash register noises IN MY SLEEP, because of long hours and how fucking stressful working in retail was.

the store I worked at also fired me on my lunch break because I was a seasonal employee so yea that really burneddddd
