reading the replies i feel like my trigger words are so ridiculously stupid.
i cant even stand hearing someone say Poland or Polish. bad joke but im sure Hitler hated that too. fuck.
when i first joined here i was sad to see theres a "love react" button, seeing hearts triggered me, not so much now.
i have so many pathetic words, the word "dear" "oh thats okay my dear" it triggers me.
"beautiful" can be triggering too.

I don't think there's an easy way to stop words being associated with bad experiences, but you can try to associate them with other, better things as well, in order to reduce their power and effect on you.

I can't really think of which specific words that set me off aside from one name, but it can be the most random little thing. The most unexpected topics or things that I see or hear can send me down a rabbit hole of memories that will mess me up, sometimes for a whole day or more. It's unavoidable, all I can do is try to limit it. Being left to my own thoughts is a bad idea, but things I use to distract myself can be just as bad.

But those are really not smart to say around me. They induce many of manic emotions and flashbacks. Mostly towards molestation and bullying.

Indeed. There are certain individuals and groups I can never have a civilised conversation with, but I cannot put them here due to the sensitivity of the matter. To me they are no more than enemies to be cut down, and prey to be slaughtered.

Don't sweat it. I use the angry face when A) I react to an outrageous comment and B) when I want to convey that I'm just as angry/frustrated as OP is.

Yes you had a HUGE impact on me. When my "parents" died they left my younger sister a hobby farm and my older brother $2,000,000 in U.S. dollars and I was left out. I got ZERO. Neither my brother or sister will speak or have anything to do with me becasue I am bi. So, yes, your comment meant ALOT to me. Walter
