I voted no because no amount of money, success, or bliss (which all are just distractions and copes in my view) will ever get rid of the existential dread of wanting to die by my own hand. Even if life was more ideal for me (which it is not), I'd still wish to retain the option to go on my own terms.

I think most of ctb cases are not a money matter

for me the only positive thing of having that amount is that you can access better ctb ways

i think the same

If I had unlimited money, I would have no problems. Definitely "Yes" on this one

(I know 100 billion is not unlimited, but it might aswell be)

Si j'avais de l'argent à profusion, je n'aurais aucun problème. Absolument « oui » à cette question.

(Je sais que 100 milliards ne représentent pas une quantité illimitée, mais c'est tout comme.)
Do you have illness??

Nothing that is incurable or otherwise unable to be treated through therapies and such with that kind of money. Mostly just mental disorders. If I could have all that money without working, it would solve much of my issues and make it not difficult to get what I need to help myself

Big thanks i understand you are hope🙏

I think I can endure 60 years of pain if I can make an entire mini city for homeless people, disabled people, mentally ill people, sex workers. Have them learn trades, programming, art, cooking to thrive in this shitty world that used and abused them. Adopt every single child in the shitty foster system. ETC. You get the idea.

Yes I'd take 100 billion euros. My problem is with the world, if I can change the world, I would still have a problem with myself but I could endure.

I know I would not be able to endure. I would want to try, but I'd probably want to give the money to someone who could pull it off - all the changes you mentioned. And more.

Throughout my life I've had trouble just getting ID and a bank account, so that might pose a problem, although maybe money could solve those problems, I wouldn't be able to do anything if I couldn't get out of bed or my place of residence, or deal with smartphones, etc.

I do want the world to be better, but as for myself, I don't really want money. I want a peaceful exit.

The 100B €. But the golden question is what one will do with it. Invest it and as a negative utilitarianist minimize human suffering. Also, so as long as there's mortality. Or a finality. Immortality would be living hell, if the probability of such a case is even infinitesimally small, the event must occur by the law of large numbers. Mortality is better than immortality; long settled in philosophy for this reason and others.

More and more, we hear about preserving consciousness beyond death. But even then, if there are options, a person could opt out when they are ready. There are so many people in the world we don't see - there are medical anomalies that are still occurring and it's thought best to hide certain people from the world. I feel this myself, but I know there are people out there who'd appear a lot less 'normal' in society. Where are they? What are their lives like? If they had the chance to live a virtual existence, would it matter? Would it be good for people who never had good lives to have a chance to live as long as it felt meaningful to them? Can we put a limit on the years? Maybe most people would find they didn't want to live forever, they just wanted a good life, and a good death.

Personally, I would find immortality horrific, but I wouldn't mind a little time living in a better world, even if it was virtual. Did philosophers predict virtual worlds? I guess that might be a lengthy and difficult conversation.
