Will you make a goodbye thread? Chat with someone on here that you can be open and yourself with? Someone not from this site, a close friend? One that either knows what's going on/about to happen, or that has no idea continuing on with a normal conversation like nothing was even going on? Not talk to anyone at all?

No--no goodbye thread for me--If I don't post anything for a week or so, then that means I'm probably finished, since I usually post here each day(because my depression has no 'off' days)

I've been thinking, and I'm just going to text with friends whom I can sometimes avoid, due to my social phobia.

Im going to text them like nothing is wrong, just normal…

We often tell each other we love each other, so it will be nice to be able to tell them one last time.

One person in particular, I want to tell that I love them, but I never have, and I don't want to raise any red flags. One of the last hard decisions I have to make.

The person I was going to talk to during it on this forum, CTB unexpectedly yesterday sadly so I guess I'll be alone during it. I'll leave a good bye thread here and text my closest friends, but it will be night time during my attempt so they will be asleep.

No goodbye thread on here, not gonna talk to anyone either. Imagine I'll do it at night as that's when those urges are loudest, but even if it's day time, I tell my girl I love her often enough and will tell her one last time without raising red flags. I try to tell her regularly how much I love and appreciate her, it's probably time to do that again anyways. She'll hopefully have no doubts in the end. Last time I had a date set I tried to see loved ones and such first, it was difficult to know it was their last time seeing me (as I believed then it would be), not sure if I'll try to do that again because it makes for an uncomfortable visit.

Talking to a soothing and understanding voice during my final moments would be the dream. Too bad the only people I know are those who would try to stop me and get pissed off. Not to mention, I'd likely get them in trouble even if they were understanding because of how bullshit our laws are. The most I could do is post a thread on here and leave a few notes irl.

She doesn't understand my suicidal parts and I am stuck between avoiding ever mentioning it and desperately wanting to talk about it. But she really is a good one overall. I love her very much. And she's very patient with all the shit I go through. I agree with you that it's better off not seeing loved ones first, it was seeing her before my plan that caused an upheaval because she always knows when something is off. I hope things are good for you.

Better to talk to everyone days or weeks beforehand and leave notes. To risky to talk to someone while trying to ctb not to mention they may emotionally uplift you enough to make you have second thoughts of ctbing.

Remember if you send someone that kinda of message out of blue and you are gone the next minute they can get suspicious so I think it would be worth it to consider the risks of doing that else they can send help for any reason maybe.

I might make a goodbye thread, talk in the chat, or send off a few messages, but when it comes time to do the deed I am planning on facing death alone. I also plan on wiping my electronics to protect the people I talk to. I don't have any plans at the moment, but if I were to try again that is what I will do.

I won't have a thread either… for the exact reasons you stated. I understand people are in pain, too, but there's no reason to be inconsiderate in someone else's farewell.

initially, i wanted to have some company while i go. you know, how moonicide had company when she was drifting off to eternal sleep. but now that i'm drawing close to my ctb date, i'm kind of disliking the idea. it's risky for the other people involved and i don't want to get anyone in trouble, even if they were willing to hop in on a call with me.

i will, however, make a goodbye thread and share my regimen as well as my symptoms throughout the day before i drink the poison. i think that's enough company for me. plus, being here is like a huge coping mechanism for me.
