I heard the wife of a MAGA guy was deported and he said he still does not regret voting Trump. Sort of a cult thing to say.

Trumpcession seems to become a real thing. Interestingly they try to change official statistics on the economic state but I doubt they will get away this easily.

I was wrong when it comes to the outcome of the electio 2024n. But I was pretty sure Trump will cause A LOT of damage to the country and world and I warned about it. At least this prediction seems to become true. And more and more people realize that. Maybe except of the kool aid drinkers.

The sad part is the deepest Trump counties will be hurt the most over any blue areas. I would be lying if I said I wouldnt find some satisfaction in them realizing they signed their death warrant voting for him again.

But as you mentioned its a cult and they will find any excuse to make about dems or the deep state when things go wrong for them.

Extreme followers can be said about the other side as well. Depending how things go will determine any voter regret. I believe many reporting regret stories look at any minor tick and scream "proof" which to me shows more of there devotion than anything. Diehard maga fans will go all the way but my opinion is the majority wanted a change from the same old and are very cautiously kinda optimistic about a change of course. Time will tell.

I don't know, Trump supporters are cult-ish in their devotion.

The more power Trump gets, the more threaten he will feel.

I think my posts in this forum prove I have warned about him enough.

Do you think people will realize it now with his alleged "Big, beautiful Bill"?

I am so glad I don't live in the US. But if the German government fails (conservative led), this will come to Germany too.

if they where too lazy and/or stupid to listen to what he said and research who he is before his first term, to pay attention to what he said and did during his fist term, to pay attention and listen to what he said before Bidens term, paid attention to what he said and did during bidens term, paid attention and listened to what he said running for his second term, and still arent paying attention to what hes saying or doing now a few months into his second term i dont see why they would but maybe its possible for them to feel temporary mild regret if your lucky.

No, and it's a really easy answer. Trump has some die-hard supporters. For whatever reason, they like him. Democrats have similar people too that like whoever their candidate might be.

But MOST voters aren't voting for their party's candidate... they are voting against the other side. People are strongly encouraged to pick a team and always ride with it no matter what. People are discouraged from voting outside the two-choice system because it is a "waste" or whatever.

Until we change that mindset... until candidates are encouraged to be better... we will be stuck in this time loop. The people in power on both sides don't care much about the people. They care about their positions. That's it.

You can argue all you want about one side being worse than the other. Depending on your beliefs it can be really obvious to say that in many elections. but the sad truth is... if your "good guy" wins and defeats the "evil other side" it rarely translates into things that benefit the average voter. Most things tend to stay pretty much the same over time. Even things that a sizable majority of the population want and agree on just doesn't happen because neither side wants the other side to get credit for something, so they have to fight it.

So, Trump voters screwed over by Trump will almost never regret their vote nor vote differently given the same choice next time around... and Democrats will pretty much toe their line too.
