You'd probably die from the hanging alone, and not by any fault of the promethazine. Promethazine will help with reducing panic and second-guessing yourself, but it can also be a double-edged sword in that it'd make it more difficult for you to set up properly, and then you'd just have a very drawn out and uncomfortable death as you asphyxiate across the course of several excruciating minutes (in the unfortunate event that you botch the execution of your hanging, which is, well, likely to happen even without being under the influence of promethazine).

Benzodiazepines can definitely have their uses in hanging, but as a standalone method? They're not viable.

Also, you seem very desperate and upset right now... I don't mean to discount your pain, and I truly have no idea what you're going through, but are you sure that this is the right time to be planning your suicide?
You deserve happiness and a shot at recovery, and when we panic, we are really prone to making impulsive decisions that we regret later. Just as a piece of friendly advice, it'd be better to at least wait until you feel calm and clearheaded before you plan your suicide; I'm not telling you to not kill yourself period, but to just put it off for a little bit. If you want someone to vent to, I'm an open ear.
