My SN is loudwolf 99.6% purity. I opened it and measured it out but got too nervous as said in my previous posting, but if I ever want to try to ctb again will I need to buy another bottle or will it be okay?

SN reacts with the air, I wouldn't take any chances and buy a new one once it has been opened.

Crap. I might not be able to for awhile. I should've just taken it last night.

It was only exposed to the air for a short few minutes. Maybe it'll still work? But you're right, I don't want to take any chances.

I don't know how long it takes for the nitrite to turn into nitrate due to oxidation but ... not worth the risk in my opinion. It's always better to be safe than sorry.

You can wiki nitrite if your concerned, but just opening the bottle is not going to suddenly turn it to nitrate. Salt absorbs water from the air and given enough time through oxidation can turn it to nitrate. Just keep the lid on.

So it'll still be good for me to use tonight?

Sn will keep for years, think of a salt shaker which isn't air tight, it keeps in that little shaker for months before it absorbs enough water from the air and solidifies, even then oxidation takes much longer.

I thought you were going to give life another shot from your other posts?

Thanks. I'm not sure what I'm doing at this point. It depends. When I do decide to officially ctb I'll make a goodbye post though.
