I don't think so. As long as religions and the belief that "life is a gift" exist, it will never be accessible to everyone..

This is what my country's SAIJ* says:
*Sistema Argentino de Información Jurídica (Argentine Legal Information System)
"Euthanasia is a crime against human life and the natural order, for which those involved in the decision and execution of the homicidal act are responsible."
"Today, more strictly speaking, euthanasia is understood as so-called compassionate homicide, that is, causing the death of another out of compassion for their suffering or in response to their desire to die for whatever reason."
"It should be noted here that legalizing euthanasia would open the door to sinister practices, as compassion could be used to justify the elimination of the weakest, the handicapped, and the terminally ill. The alleged public interest in eliminating those who represent a burden to society without providing any material benefit would become "understandable."
States must respect and ensure respect for the fundamental rights of individuals, the first of which is the right to life, and euthanasia is nothing other than the destruction of innocent human life under certain conditions.
Domestic codes and laws recognize the right to life of all human beings, and any attempt on the life of any human being is prohibited, imposing, in turn, the most severe penalties on anyone who takes the life of another.
Today, we experience a culture that vigorously defends human dignity and is committed to defending the rights of all, but which at the same time, and incongruously, tolerates practices such as procured abortion or euthanasia, which are contrary to the inalienable rights of all people.
Therefore, it is everyone's responsibility to achieve, here and now, the demand for respect for the life of all people without exception."
"Another paradox is that medical science has reached a high degree of perfection in the possibilities of alleviating pain, to the point that today there is no longer a form of unbearable and desperate pain that cannot be mitigated. The request here to legalize euthanasia would appear as a demand to hasten death not out of love for death but out of fear of pain.
We could say that today humanity is divided into two camps in the face of pain: one that discovers the true meaning of pain: it knows how to give meaning to suffering and knows how to help those who suffer it; and others that, to avoid it, end up unloading pain and death on others, wanting to ward off all forms of suffering by suppressing those who suffer it."
"Any proposal to modify legislation and allow the taking of life in certain cases must be seen as a breach of ethical and legal principles and the natural order."
"It is never lawful to kill a sick person to avoid seeing them suffer, even if they expressly request it. Neither the patient, nor the doctors, nor the medical staff, nor the family members have the power to decide or cause a person's death. There is no right to choose the place and time of death, because man does not have absolute control over his life; only God decides how and when."
