Yeah that's why I'm afraid to shoot in the head bc if I miss certain parts of the brain, I could end up living through it...but I read the chest might be risky bc I could live through thatOf course it can kill you.
It's more about not messing up the shot.
Thinking the head but afraid I might mess upIf a pellet gun killed someone then so can a 45...
Where are you shooting?
Do not do the chest. Its slow, its painful, and theres a chance you can get "saved". At least from what ive seen.Yeah that's why I'm afraid to shoot in the head bc if I miss certain parts of the brain, I could end up living through it...but I read the chest might be risky bc I could live through that

Thank you! I've suffered too much to have to live thru this I'll look up what you sentDo not do the chest. Its slow, its painful, and theres a chance you can get "saved". At least from what ive seen.
Look up "science of shooting yourself in the head" theres an article i read about the most lethal parts
Yes, it is a good gun, it is made in czech or slovakia.....
Where I live that is used by police, but I do not know about caliber....
I know, I just say that glock is the official police gun where I live, all of them carry this gun....guess will be 9 mm, a war weapon, or not...I do not know about caliber. Glock is a czech brand or Slovakian , I am not sure.Glock is a company (brand) name. It's like saying "Toyota". The brand of fun doesn't matter here, it only needs to fire one bullet. The important thing is the caliber, and just like Toyota makes cars in many different sizes, firearms manufacturers make firearms in many different sizes for many differently sized bullets.

It is a gun very esthetic, a round shape...
That would be a big NO.. .45 is a heavy handgun to begin with and once trigger is pulled you could/will flinch and just shoot your face off
That would take Superman !! Shoot into chest- open up lungs, liver and major arteries (if you miss heart). Then, while bleeding out and in major pain, pick up gun and do same to headIs there any reason one could not shoot first at the heart and then through the head? Obviously you'd be in extra pain for a bit, but I'm thinking that the shot through the chest could cause one to bleed out even if the headshot is botched. I don't know, would the shock of a shot to the chest cause one to pass out before being able to deliver the headshot? I guess if you're worried, I've heard that shotguns are even better bet: a Mossberg 500 is pretty cheap if you have the money.
This is not generally recommended
It can also go horribly wrong.I watched too many suicide videos. All of them did it like that and died.

Obviously it's up to you what you do, but I would personally choose the almost guaranteed instant death of hitting the brain stem via a mouth shot, rather than the chance of blowing the front of my brain off and bleeding out in a puddle of my own piss and shit
Yep, I get it. Chances are you will die, and I'm not saying you won't.There's a chance of failure in every shot. It's about getting to know the guns, how it works. When a bullet smashes both brain lobes, there's almost no chance of survival. That's 90% of the suicide videos I've seen. I watched a police officer commit suicide, and that was the case. I don't put a barrel in my mouth. Personally, I don't.

I'm just stating what I would do, and what is generally considered the gold standard method of shooting yourself.
If shooting myself was the method I chose to ctb, I would want to minimize any risks. Ironically, I do have a gun (and it is a glock), but I will not be shooting myself.

Really? So is there a better gun to use or should I try another method? That would be a big NO.. .45 is a heavy handgun to begin with and once trigger is pulled you could/will flinch and just shoot your face off
What evidence do you have that hitting the brain stem is painless?Absolutely. A .45 caliber round is MORE than sufficient to cause death. The main thing is hitting the brainstem in order to ensure death and without suffering. You could hit the other areas, but there is absolute guarantee of death and you may suffer a bit before truly dying. So if you are going this way, then I would absolutely make sure never to aim below the chin but much closer to the brainstem to ensure success.
