I haven't really gotten the hang of this forum yet so sorry if this has been previously discussed somewhere. And I definitely do not want to encourage anyone :/

However: potassium chloride is freely available. Laying a periphery catheter really isn't that difficult. I could easily mix the KCl with water and push a bolus in my vein. The heart should stop in less than 20 seconds, at which point it should be pretty much instant lights out as the blood pressure completely collapses.

The IV injection is likely gonna burn a lot in the vein & I'm guessing there might be some comfortableness if not outright pain or panic involved, but since it's only a couple seconds I feel like that should be tolerable.

Plus it is a pretty guaranteed death.

Like I said, I couldn't really find a lot of discussion here about this method because I can't find the damn search function, meaning I might be really off here.

I think a majority of us don't have the knowledge to start an IV.

Isn't that just NoSalt? Something tells me IVing that would turn unpleasant fast but what do I know

Fair, and that is a good thing of course. I do tho, so that is why I am wondering...

Well it contains like 52% potassium. High potassium is really dangerous (or in this case, useful) because it makes your heart stop. If it's sufficiently high enough the heart should seize up and stop beating pretty much immediately. In regards to it being unpleasant - well, I think so too, but it's only for like 15 seconds and from what I read hopefully not that terrible. Only one way to know tho.

Yeah but the pain should be rather short lived. And in comparison to the other methods I considered (hanging - only compressing the arteries and not the veins is super difficult; etc.) it seems less painful. Not to mention that it should be guaranteed death. With hanging or helium I am super scared of the noose/mask slipping and ending up a vegetable. The IV part seems trivial in comparison.
