Why is shooting thru the mouth so popular?

I see a lot of people ctb-ing by gun going for the in-mouth approach I was thinking I'd do it in my temple and just go right thru is the other way more effective?

If the barrel is already pressing squarely on the middle of the tongue, then the right angle should have it aiming at the brainstem.

will thru the temple work tho? I need it to work but I want it to hurt a bit too need it to be certain that itll kill me tho

Probably because that's the softest spot you can shoot at & I think there is a hole in the skull if you ain that way, but it's difficult to know the exact angle and see
