So sorry for what you've been through, it sounds like an awful lot.Ditto
That isn't entirely true. i was sectioned after an attempt to ctb early last year. i had mental capacity. i wasn't a risk to others, etc.

It is true that lots of people who are risks to themselves and others aren't sectioned though. I was only sectioned after multiple attempts and SH episodes requiring hospital treatments .
There's a lot of other factors really. Like your report mentions your family not feeling able to keep you safe at home. That's something that affects the decision. Or diagnosis too, like people labelled with personality disorders (regardless if they actually have it or not) are much less likely to be admitted.
