Why hanging is considered a violent method?

Hanging done correct way is LITERALLY painless. Even done wrong it's the least paifull method I know

What's wrong with a couple minutes of pain and struggling? Like it's not that bad. Poisoning is much worse

Guess it means how one defines violent, a shotgun to the head whilst (probably) painless is called violent due to how gory it is.
Maybe some call it that because hanging corpses look horrifying.

The label "violent suicide" is for the onlooker, not the person commiting it. If done correctly, you'd pass out long before asphixiating completly, it's just a shocking sight for the person finding your corpse.

Also Poisoning can be rather peaceful if you pick your poison and sedative correctly

It is, imo. I've seen a couple of videos of it, and usually the body jerks wildly. Not sure how it feels for the hanging person, but that imagery is terrifying.

This is a normal reaction of an oxygen-starved brain. Usually when the person is to the point they are shaking/jerking they are unconscious and completely unaware of what is going on.

Technically true, but we would not really consider Nembutal, for example, to be violent. Semantics.
