• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

It just feels so cruel to me how we exist in this world where there is no acceptance towards not wanting to exist, as after all not everyone wishes for something as futile and torturous as existence, I don't see what is so ill about not wanting to be burdened with this existence of unnecessary suffering that just leads to decay and death anyway with no limit as to how much one can suffer.
There needs to be the option to just cease existing that is guaranteed and painless and the fact that I cannot access such is criminal to me.

My guess is it's taboo because nearly everyone at some time in their lives has wanted to not be here anymore, and if methods were easily accessible there would be an exponential increase in suicides on impulse. When anyone at any age can do it on a whim, that's not good because often people get through the rough spots and change their minds.

I believe the quote that suicide is a solution to a temporary problem is partially true. But when the problem is not temporary like terminal illness or some sort of disability/disorder that severely impacts quality of life and there is no known cure, then it would be nice if we were able to put ourselves to sleep just like suffering pets.

It sucks that people in that position have few options and we as a society are long overdue for open dialogue on the subject.

It's not that they won't accept, it's just that the system needs people to live. Where do you think are they gonna get their taxes that fills their pockets from? Seriously. It will make more business if people are alive, they are going to come for health care, and there will be a lifelong of continuous needs to be fulfilled. Unlike if we die, the only business they can still do is our funeral, then that's it, it's over…

Make no mistake that the system legitimately cares for us to live. They need something out of our existence, that is why they need us alive…

We have a biological bias towards life due to our programming. Thus, most people seem to grant an intrinsic value to life. For other people, seeing other people desire death shatters their fragile reality that life doesn't have this infinite postive value.

Society will never understand and accept us. We have been told several times or learned the hard way to not say such things or there will be severe consequences. It's so hard and mentally exhausting to wake up everyday and know today will be the same as yesterday, and possibly more problems added. We simply don't have any good days and we suffer in silence and alone. Most of us have tried everything to help ourselves, medicine, therapy, etc and we still say we are ready to exit. When I walk outside my home, I feel invisible. Nobody notices that I cried myself to sleep, I contemplated another attempt, I'm in physical pain everyday, etc, but I'm forced to keep going.

I only wish guest that come to this site for whatever reason can possibly try to understand us. I only wish someday scientists can help us find a painless and dignified way to leave. I'm so tired.

The main reason is that we've been indoctrinated. We've been taught that life is sacred and that death is something negative if you even try to talk about it. Secondly, most human beings, although they say death is inevitable, actually don't know how to deal with it. This is why religions thrive on humankind's inability to accept death, promising paradise and similar bullshit. Only a few people admit that existence can be a burden from which it might be better to free ourselves in some circumstances.

I understand. The problem is natural selection, which causes only pro-life zealots to survive through reproduction. There are many religious sects throughout history which were surprisingly antinatalist but of course died out leaving only the pro-life zealots remaining. It doesn't really matter which arguments they are using in favour of their pro life attitudes, because even if only 5% of people were pro-life in the beginning the 95% just die out and get replaced by the offspring of the 5%. It's a tragedy but it's just the rules of this cruel world
