Hanging, jumping in front of a train, jumping from a tall height, inert gasses. It's very hard to get a gun legally in Japan.

Here is a study comparing methods of suicide in Japan with the United states. A few interesting things to note. For males in Japan, there were two peaks, one for the 55-59-year age group the other for 85+ years.. Suicide rates are higher than in the US, 2 times higher for males, and 3 times higher for female, with a similar spike in the age range of 30-34 for females.

It was listed as the 6th highest cause of death in japan, 11th in the USA. But this may have changed, considering the time fram that the data was taken from (1995-1999) still, there are some interesting reaults and conclusions to glean from it.

They used the liquid bath essence brand "610HAP" which contained a large % of calcium polysulfides.

Now you can just use any brand of lime sulfur and muriatic acid (which is just HCl).

Both are available at your local hardware store, but I think someone on this forum tried the H2S method and said it's very painful and burns during inhalation. That's not including that H2S is highly poisonous to first responders and anyone in neighboring apartments even in small concentrations. Some suicides have also killed their parents/family when they rushed into the room to try to help.

It would be better to use CO, but that also has the issue of leaking into neighboring apartments/rooms and causing unintended harm.

You would kill the people in nearby rooms while they were sleeping. Then you'd kill anyone who opened the door to check on you. It's an extremely toxic gas.

It works by almost instantly killing the part of the brain that controls breathing, so it knocks you unconscious after a breath or two of >800ppm and you stop breathing. Short exposure to even 100ppm can cause respiratory failure. Basically if you did it in the bathroom and shut the door and sealed the cracks/vents, even the small leakage could still kill or poison people in nearby rooms.

Some people have done it in their car and put up signs on all their windows, and intervening bystanders have still been injured because they didn't bother to read the signs, or didn't take the signs seriously enough.

The safest thing for other people would be to do it in a remote location in your car where no one could find you for a while, so the gas would have time to dissipate after you died (but still put up signs just in case).

I am the H2S survivor who advises people to avoid it based on my experience. I really, really mean it.

You absolutely cannot do this safely inside a building with other people. Period.

It does NOT make you pass out instantly. If you could get the level up high enough, a big whiff might do the trick, but you won't be able to do that quickly enough to avoid the burning of your throat and lungs. This is a chemical burn from the inside out. If the reaction splashes you, you will wish you were dead while the mixture eats away your skin.

Do NOT do this. There are easier, safer ways that do not endanger others.

I was not exposed to H2S. I worked with people who were hurt on the job, which involved H2S exposures

Weebster is a very cynical and misanthropic poster (this isn't meant to be insulting , in many cases I agree with the posts).

He might not care to use h2s in hotel. Why not use h2s method at a hotel hosting an event for some evil people. Fascist political meeting ? Corporate executives ? Fundamentalist religious gathering ?

Find which floor they booked out and bring them with you
