Anybody who tries to talk anyone down from the ledges. Most of us are in a very rigid mind state when about to carry out ctb. So the people who know what to say to get through to some of us are important here. Not everyone that is going to ctb is doing it irrationally and I realize that, but probably many people are doing it irrationally bc in the moment u can not be flexible in your thinking.

Oh dear, your description of yourself does sound just like her. I know, its really tough to forgive yourself, I've had a similar experience before. But you have to think of yourself. That you feel guilt over not being here is natural and just means that you cared about her. She was in very good company before she left, you just have to read her goodbye thread. She must have felt very loved. I hope so, because she was (by me).

Dont beat yourself up about this, I know you do and will but she wouldn't wish for that, would she. From what I knew of her she was so kind and compassionate and would know how much you cared about her. They say with friendships and those you are closest to, that its the the silences together that often mean the most. She will know how you feel, I am sure of that. Love and care remains solid, however far the distance and lets face it now she is in spirit, she's right with you all the time.

I'm new here, and want to thank this site. I stumbled on this site researching methods to choose from in the event I ever decide it's time. The stigma that surrounds CTB can make it uncomfortable to talk amongst people in life. This place leaves the stigma at the door. Just reading, and chiming in on post let's me know I'm not alone. I recently described my current mind state to my therapist as that I was stranded in the middle of the ocean waving a flare for help. I wonder the odds of me actually stumbling across this site, and it honestly came at the most perfect time. You guys are my rescue boat that found me in the middle of the ocean.

I respect everyone here because you all make this place the way it is, a supportive place for people with little to no support irl. I usually pm people and tell them directly but I want to name a couple here. @SinisterKid and @Jean4.

Sinister helped me out a couple of times and is one of the hardest working mods here.

Jean is respected throughout the forum but for me I respect her for what she did in 9/11 as well as being supportive. I've seen how others changed for the worst after that but she still tries to support others here.

Those who have either left the forum or the realm of the living. Most of whom where the first people that spoke to me here on the forum. These people made me feel less alone.

@Joanff Possibly the smartest person i've had the pleasure to speak with. I may have had a hard time keeping up with the wise words you spoke. It's a shame life went the way it did for you. Every day i looked forward to hear from you and chat about life. It's really a shame you are no longer with us. You may be gone but not forgotten. Alas we never got to meet irl but your words made this sad man feel at least a little better every message. That is something i still think about alot. Farewell kind soul.

To all of you .. i wish i would have had the luck, strenght and willpower to turn things arround in my own life. So that the time spent talking to me was not in vain. But i'm afraid that even after all these years of holding on there comes a time that enough is enough. But in any case you people have made life that tiny bit more bearable in the times i needed it the most. I'll try my best to do at least some of the things i talked about before i go.

And also a shoutout to @Circles who's mostly behind the scenes and supporting on the profile pages. Your effort does not go unnoticed and is very much appreciated. Thank you and wish you well
