Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Just something I'm curious about.
I'm from the PNW and ultimately I do feel very grateful for it because of the beautiful landscapes, Trumpism is only apparent in clearly rural areas, and the changing of seasons is usually a wonderful sight. There's a sense of community here that I enjoy, so much food to try, so many shows to see and parks to check out.
However, the dark, rainy winters have always been tough on me though since I was a kid. I simply couldn't live any more northern, the sunsets in the 4 o'clock hour from November through January are brutal. I have no energy and my days feel like they've vanished in front of my eyes by 3:30 in the afternoon.
On a broader scale, living in America during this time period is strange. There's a sense of instability that feels exacerbated by the fact that my generation (I'm 19) has essentially never seen an America that has relished a time period of clear success and happiness. The 08 recession took place the year before the events of my first memory even occurred. Trump has been in the political spotlight since I was in third grade. I've seen the cost of living soar for much of my life since near the beginning of adolescence, and recently I've done a lot of reflecting on how that has factored into my focus on CTB over this past year. All my friends now are getting degrees that members of the front end of Gen Z have held entering a job market and struggle to get even entry level positions with bachelor's and master's, even in fields that were encouraged by older generations as being "useful." They seem worried about the future, but I can't help but feel like I'm one of the only ones in my circle that sees it for what it truly is, just how dire our situation has slowly turned into. That is, the plans of the oligarchs in charge of America and much of the world. Shifting the focus now though...
So what do you all think? Do you see how where you live plays a role into how you feel? Do you think your desire to CTB would remain regardless if you lived elsewhere in your nation? Or even in another country or continent?

The way depression is handled in my country by news/media is appaling at best and criminal at worst as well.

A person who after some personal issues and a horrible earthquake, ended up being so depressed, that for 3 years, he ended up retreating into his home. Usually spending time on his phone or playing videogames.

A lot of the news media portrayed him simply as a "social media addict" when a lot of his struggles went beyond social media.

This is asinine considering the fact that he went through what is known as the worst earthquake in turkish history. He probably sustained some pretty bad trauma from it.

But it is social media and videogames to blame for this, yeah right.

KSA, I hate the landscape, I hate the culture, I hate how extremely religious people are here, and I heat the weather.

What I like: It's a very safe country, food here is amazing, that's it.
