  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I've been planning to ctb the night of my next birthday, and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go with the night-night method if I can figure out the "sweet spot" for cutting off my carotid arteries. Drug overdose is also a possibility if need be.

I was just wondering what people think is a good place to do it. I live with my parents and siblings, so I don't want to do it at home. I'm thinking doing it in a car while parked outside a fire or police station in the middle of the night. This way it wouldn't be a family member or a random civilian that found me, but rather a first responder who is less likely to be disturbed by a dead body.

What do you guys think? Where would you go? Note: I live in a suburban area, and I can't travel too far because I wouldn't be able to make up an excuse that would allow me to leave.

Personally, given the horrible track record of ODing, I would rule out that option outright. I would also strongly consider the very real possibility of being interrupted if doing this right at a place where people are at any given time and do work at night. Cops and firefighters can be called on at any given time. Plus, if you were to fail, being right around cops could seriously increase the likelihood of involuntarily being hospitalized.

But it is considerate of you to think of whoever it is that finds you. Even though I don't want to have to go alone, I personally would do it in the absolute middle of nowhere. That way no one else can get in the way.
