Primarily I am worried about being found in my attempt, but I also worry about ethics too a bit.

Id have to leave at night and I don't know if they would notice or not that I left (2 brothers who live in basement, parents gone during weekend). Like hearing the car… I can leave on foot and they wouldn't notice for forest CTB.

I don't know if would be found or not in my car… I used to look at r/urbancarliving when I was bored and people would get a knock on their window from cops sometimes.

The car could also become foggy looking.

For forest CTB, I don't know if people would hear me or not. Like people walking past a trail. I also don't really like the idea that first responders would have to search and recover me… sounds like a lot of work for them. But maybe I'm overthinking that.

Just looking for opinions or insight please.

So it's 600 meters wide by 2000 meters wide.

It has a trail and a road running in parallel and the 600 meters between them.

I was thinking of walking 300 meters deep into the forest to have equal area between the woods and the road.

Yeah that's fairly sizeable; stray away from any main walking areas and other points-of-interest and it's unlikely a random passerby will see anything. SAR (seaarch and rescue) could probably locate someone within that footprint, especially with the help of dogs.

No one would see me, it's a very dense forest.

I'm just worried about people hearing me vomit. Since I'll be doing it at 12:00 am it'll be very quiet and the possibility isn't 0 of people walking that late at night.

I'll be giving them coordinates where I am and other information to locate me… I just feel guilty. It's a really dense forest they will have to walk through… and my body is heavy I'm currently 126 pounds but trying to get to probably 105-110. I'm also 5'8. I lost already 11 pounds. I could maybe get to 100 pounds but don't know how much of hit it would take on my health.

I just feel really guilty about everything I'm putting everyone through and weighing less will mean they have to carry less weight through the forest.

I don't think you should starve yourself just to weigh less for the first responders. It's very thoughtful of you but 126 pounds is not that bad for them to carry out. They might use a stretcher or something else to reduce the weight.

Why does it matter if I starve myself or not? It's not like I have to worry about getting osteoporosis in the future… I'll be dead.

Being underweight is unhealthy. But since I'm dying it doesn't matter.

Something I've noticed in my own experience is that my brain can come up with loads of reasons to delay suicide if I'm on the fence, or even just having anxiety and second thoughts.

Trying to reduce your body weight by 20% is an impressive demonstration of compassion for a team of EMS workers who are going to put you on a stretcher/back board regardless.

You're right that it won't matter if you die but it will make it slightly tougher mentally to back out if you decide to.

They have the lift me on the stretcher… they have to walk on rough terrain… it's also not a short walk. Lots of twists and turns through the trees. Some fallen trees they might have to walk over too.

But maybe your right… maybe this is my brain trying to delay… but it's weird because my brain won't be able to distinguish it on its own, that's why I like to come here and ask people for their input.

People who weigh a lot more than you die every single day and have to be moved to the morgue lol. Your weight won't even cross their mind.

A specialized team who does outdoor SAR will not be phased by carrying someone who weighs 125lb. They're fit and will manage just fine. The forest you referenced doesn't seem particularly large anyway.

But yeah, asking questions never hurt anyone. Hope you find what you're looking for.

I feel guilty that I even have to get SAR called on me. I really hate attention.
