Discussion When is the right time & where is the right location ?

Let's say you have obtained your means to CTB & you are adamant about this idea. What keeps you from doing it ? When is the right time ? I've come to terms with suicide the day I've fallen ill, so it's not questioning if I'll do it or not : it will happen . But if I put into parameters all what is needed for a successful ctb, I check all the boxes : 1) Access to a lethal & peaceful mean, YES . 2) Capacity to commit, YES (I've attempted once in the past). 3) Will to attempt, YES.
I guess I'm missing a box to check (e.g : having the balls to actually do it, but I don't think it's about that as I've already attempted in the past. I'll keep looking for it)
There is that and then the location.
What is a good spot to ctb ? I was thinking somewhere warm with a nice view into the wild.

Anyway, I'm waiting for your answers

For me I've decided that I'll wait until after Christmas to die. It's funny, because I have no real reason to wait - no family or friends to celebrate the holiday with - but I do enjoy the holiday season nonetheless. I will probably do it in a hotel on New Year's day so that I'll be found relatively quickly.

If you are indifferent about being found or traced then maybe the Mexico countryside. There are also places on the West Coast where people hike into the rainforest. Its beautiful there. If you are found then they will likely send fingerprints / notice to US and Canada as they are the closest large countries. However due to the insufficient resources it is also unlikely you would be found quickly if you veer off the typical trails. In that case, you could be out there to decay for a while.

I haven't seen a lot of South American countries but I'd assume the same could be achieved in the Amazon rainforest. Somewhere like Peru might be the equivalent to the conditions in Mexico that I described above, however with possibly a lesser chance of being found. I'd imagine there are alot of grounds near the Inca trail that could be desirable, both beautiful and private.

I guess when you hit rock bottom and you know there is no cure or help from the medical community when you're sick.
My biggest fear is losing my cognition to dementia. When you're very close to losing your mind that's when you know it's time whether you like it or not. Also not having any hope anymore that's when you know too.

when the pain of living out weights a quick end - that's when we go.

If you have a way out from this world, then you can exit at a time of your choosing. It is up to the individual, when the right time is for leaving this world. Of course, we are programmed to survive so ctb is difficult. I believe that reaching a point of desperation will eventually push me over the edge and then I will leave.
I like the sound of an isolated nature location.

I don't know man. I don't think there is a specific time. I think I'll instantly recognize when it's the right time to ctb because I will be very desperate for it, want it no matter what and don't care about anything else. Some days I feel more able to ctb than others, I think it also depends on mood. The location? Whatever makes you feel comfortable. If I have the money, I think I would do it in a luxury hotel room. It also depends on the method, if it's a noisy method or a method that can attract attention it would be best to do it in a place with no or few people nearby.
