  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I guess. I personally don't think I could CTB and not be totally sure what was going to happen to my child, even if I thought I was leaving them with someone responsible.

I know most of us are going to hurt people when we leave, but abandoning your own kid like that just hits different IMO.
I'm not sure I'm following you. A sad, depressed and suicidal parent are no good for a child. A child feels everything.

They're going to feel the abandonment of their only parent killing themselves and leaving them with... who knows? Hopefully family, but even then, good chance the kid is going to feel like a burden in the new home.

If you know you're a horrible, toxic parent and you're leaving your kid with some well off family that is going to 100% love them like their own, then ok, but I don't think that's most situations.

It's a tuff question. But for my part I'm not the solely provider for my kids. And their mothers take good care of them. I guess I maybe would have another opinion if I were the mother. But I'm not.

Again I must say. I would have been better off if I was left in other hands when I was a child, then in my parents hands. They didn't do a good job. They did a horrible job actually. So I would have been better of elsewhere. Even in a foster home I think, if they were decent people.

I often think about how my life would have been if I hadn't grown up with my father for example. I think my life would have been a lot better.
