I was planning on budget traveling through the amazon basin, part of the caribbean, and most of Central America. The trip would include reaching remote locations I'd never dare to go to, meeting natural wonders most humans take for granted, interacting with the locals (dodgy people mostly), trying foods and drinks I could only try once in a lifetime, and maybe hoping for an unexpected death.
Initially, I was planning to delay my date of CTB in favor of making this last adventure a reality; until I remembered that, on a similar trip I did before the pandemic, my people pleasing condition got me into situations nobody in this forum would like to undergo (e.g., I almost got kidnapped, I almost got framed for a crime I had nothing to do with, and I hatefully got scammed or cheated a lot).
After trying everything (therapists, medication, books, video-tutorials), still failing at overcoming people pleasing syndrome and diagnosed OCD, and realizing such conditions would keep ruining every good experience I would get into; I realized that the best for me is to cancel the trip and set my date for CTB earlier.
Maybe I didn't catch the plane, but catching the bus may turn out to be a better experience.
