On the subject of batteries...

Multiple compounding factors, including my misery and depressing had me neglecting my yard upkeep this summer and hoping I would die before it became a problem. But I got a letter from the city giving me a date to take care of it or face a potential fine. I have no money to pay such a fine and might not be dead before it would come due, so I've been having to work hard in the yard to prune overgrown weeds that are like small trees all over the yard. It is hard work and will still take several more days to get a handle on the work.

Meanwhile, once I prune an area I'm able to mow everything else in the area, and I charged the battery for my electric mower and mowed a full round of it the other day before needing to recharge the battery again only to find a problem. The battery will not charge. Even it just had charged a day earlier fully and worked fully a full normal cycle... now either the charger or the battery (perhaps both) are not working and the battery does not charge so I can't mow anymore. I can't afford to buy a new charger or battery and certainly not a new mower, especially when I hope to be gone in a couple of months... but I'm up against it with an inspection coming next week to see if I've been making the progress I promised when I responded to their notice.

So, my life is a lot like my yard... not worth shit and at best will just be passable and require a lot of back-breaking muscle-draining work just to keep passable, and I no longer have the tools to get the job done or the battery to complete the work and no realistic way to overcome all the obstacles that at best would just have to be constantly upkept just to not constantly be in a state of decay and at worst could cost me more money I don't have and trouble and conversations with people I don't want to talk to...

So my yard is me and I am my yard. And both have discharged batteries that cannot be charged anymore.

Also, does anyone know why taking that screenshot fucked my screen and only that portion is lit up properly, while the rest is now dark as fuck and off-colored? (note i have been having screen color/brightness issues for a while)
