Whats up with all the threads and comments that are anti cbt

I keep seeing a lot of comments telling people dont ctb, there's lots to lose in life and therapies and help are out there.

I thought this forum was for people who are sick of hearing these from prolifers and want to support a person's right to freedom of choice. Sounds like some people are posting with intention to discourage ctb as a whole

I made the argument months ago, that a few token pro-lifers might help this site in a general public-eye kind of sense, but it's quite jarring to see it actually played out. And perhaps harmful. I was wrong- I see that now, and I take it all back.

If you're talking about people making posts saying "suicide is wrong" or trolls who prey off our suffering, then obviously they are just assholes.

If you are talking about people who want to live but feel they must die, those who give advice on how to improve, those who talk about how sad they feel about the suicide of others, or those who mention that it's a choice then it kinda just comes with the topic I think. I don't think of SaSu as pro-suicide but rather pro-choice to suicide. We are all still humans who have grown up being told the pro-life side of things, and it's hard to separate from that.

This is my outlook on it.

Some of them are trolls, best to ignore them and not respond to their trolling posts that's what i will do from now on and also I won't even open them. It is very weird like if your is "great" then why create troll after troll posts. Like go and live your "great" life.

Some of these posts were talking about success being "outliving" someone. I couldn't help but laugh because if you consider outliving someone as success then why are you bothering unsuccessful people who will live a shorter life than you.

Some of these people will be the ones you will block on your phone but they will still be running to you or show you how their life is so great and when you are not even looking for them.

I'm so glad I won't have to deal with them soon.

CTB to me was always and is always a legal option to exit this life under certain circumstances. But CTB should always be the very last option because once it it is successful there is no way back.

The smarter anti ctb lurkers are just waiting for a poster who changes their mind, or decides to wait in order to jump on that thread. The quickest way to spot them is the unremmitingly positive, look for the bright side, general "now we're talking" tone of their posts. No mention will be made of any opportunity to ctb at any point in the future, or that it's fine to have a rethink. Their post will almost invariably have that smug, patronising "everything is going to be fine now" undertone to it.
Best to just do as previously advised, don't respond, report them and let Admin evaluate and take action if required.
Of course these patronising prats are always going to flock to sites such as this, where else can they virtue signal to themselves and burnish their self image by doing their "good work" of "reaching out to the distressed".

To this kind of people ; you reminds me of JW and religious or sect people (same for me - i'm french and not believer at all as you can guess, hope it s not unrespectful). Believe what you want but don't try to convince me, respect me in my unbelieving as I respect your belief. I don't come in the middle of a temple to shout my way of thinking, don't come here to gain some points on your karma... just accept everybody as he is.

I mean some of the basically just say do your research make sure it's really what you want type of thing. I don't see anything wrong with that. I don't think there is anything wrong with exhausting every option then saying you know what society has chosen for me to die time to CTB.

I don't care about other people's opinions, wanting suicide will always make so much sense to me and it's absurd to be anti-suicide when we are just waiting around to die anyway. I think there's nothing more ideal than not-existing as without existence one cannot suffer, everything is finally forgotten about instead. I despise existence, it's the true problem as existence in itself is the ultimate cause of all harm and suffering, I find it so horrible how all throughout history existence has caused so much unnecessary torture to be experienced.

There are some people on this forum who are redeemable . People who have relationship problems or financial problems for example . A change in perspective on these matters may resolve or reduce their pain significantly .

However offering niceties to seriously medically ill people without offering any concrete solutions can be very frustrating . "Just hang on it will get better" , "There is always hope", "Don't be sad" sounds almost insulting to someone who has spent a tonne of money, time and energy on getting better .

When I first read this, or when I read post goodgirl is referring, it sounded like archievment hunting in games. Like wow I outlived XY, but my live is still miserable and the time all in all wasted. But thanks for the imaginary trophy.

Another argument I hate, is when people say "but didn't you had a great time in the last hours". When I have a fucking company that generates 10 Million $, but at a cost of 100 Million $, I still have a shitty company.
