I liked NYC because when I visited I felt like I was too small to matter as a human, and also the public transportation system.

I like abandoned buildings and places. I'm not really sure why. Probably because I don't like people so much as the idea of people and their lives. Plus, there's something kind of tragic to it. Especially if it's a place where there used to be big crowds of people having fun. I'm too scared and unfit for urbex otherwise, I think I would enjoy that.

I really like being in ornate churches, especially when they have stained glass. I've never been Christian so I don't really know why. I just like to sit in one and think. I'm too nervous to go to a service alone but when I went with my grandfather a while back I really enjoyed the hymns too.

Mutedness. When my environment is subtle and colorless, it is inducive for a meditative state of mind. Perfect for both getting lost in thought or having no thought at all, and for giving the ease to transition into a deeper detachment or returning focus to reality.

It helps when the environment appears inhuman or unnatural in character and music gives the same feeling as well.

I like paperback books a lot more than a more premium hardcover version. There's something about the way a softcover is easier to manage and flip all the pages fast from cover to cover, but I'll almost always go for the paperback if it's an option.

Whales and cetaceans (specifically sperm whales). I started getting obsessed with them after reading Moby Dick a couple of years ago, I find them to be so beautiful due to how gentle and intelligent they are. I'd love to be able to see one some day, but I sometimes worry that's a pipe dream. Sperm whale clicks are so loud that they're capable of paralyzing people, but I would not mind taking the risk to hear them in person if it meant being close to my favorite animal.
