I feel quite edgy posting this lol, but what are some songs/artists/albums everyone listens to when they're really thinking about it? mabye after a really bad day or something? I've just had one of those

mine usually comes from a place of frustration with myself, tempting me to do something really impulsive

I kind of despise feeling suicidal, just for the feeling of helplessness it creates, so I tend to drown it out with obnoxious death or black metal. Labyrinthus Stellarum is my go-to and favorite band in general, my favorite song of theirs being Cosmic Plague:

There's the exceptionally rare chance that I do sit with that feeling, though. When I do, I opt for ambient chanting...or whatever you call this genre? I like this song in particular:

That depends on whether or not I want to deal with those thoughts at the moment, but this is one of the musics I'm hearing right now:

Recently I fell lower than I had fallen in many years, and as I was beginning to rise out if it, I went back to Beethoven, my first love. That guy knew despair, he considered suicide. And I feel that you can feel that, listening to him, even if we didn't actually know.

Mostly classical music, but also the songs:
Bohemian Rhapsody
I got you babe (sonny and cher)
Here comes my baby (cat stevens)

The upbeat nature of those last two especially helps distract my mind sometimes.

It depends really, there's lots of sorrow and despair to be expressed, but there's also wrath and fury.
I had to think of this one I used to play up and down as a teenager and found it back again.
Caution: This is a very nihilistic and SATANIC song though - not for everyone, I guess...
